The DVD commentary said that any shiners we see were added in post-production -- the makeup doesn't show up properly, no matter what they try. Just a little fun fact...

Yeah, I thought it didn't look right. On top of that, if you look at Crime Wave, Yelina's shiner changes pattern throughout the epi. No purple circles, either.
Yeah, I know. I took enough medical training to screw me up for the rest of my life.
Mirium, is DLS talking on any of those commentaries? If yes, then I might go ahead and get the DVD.

Not on the ones I've listened to, but I haven't had time to hear them all.  It's usually writers/producers/directors talking, the folks who don't get interviewed much but are involved in day-to-day stuff and therefore know lots of trivia about specific scenes/episodes. Come to think of it, DLS would be qualified, and I bet he'd be good -- I'd love to hear a commentary by DLS and Rex Linn on an episode they'd both been in! Can anyone give jaglady a definite answer? |

Pretty sure David Lee Smith doesn't do any commentaries. I have 2-6 on DVD and he's not on any of them. Season 2-4 are all producers, writers, etc., no actors. Season 5 and 6 have a few from the actors, but none from David Lee Smith. I don't have season 1, but I doubt he'd be in that one. (Was he even in season 1?) But mirium, Rex Linn does do one on the episode "Raising Caine" from season 6, with Elizabeth Berkley (Julia). I haven't watched it yet. Actually I've only watched the commentaries by Jonathan Togo, Adam Rodriguez and Eva La Rue from season 5. |

No, DLS was not in Season 1 at all. He made his debut in "Blood Brothers", which was the first epi of S2. Oh well. It's funny, actually. If I want to watch anything with commentary in it (voiceovers in the actual epi), I have to watch it alone. Those commentaries bug hubby to no end. I'll have to wait until he takes his exam and I'll have the DVD player to myself.  |
