I'm glad TPTB decided to do something about DuDe, instead of leaving us all hanging with no clues to discuss. Or to obsess about, for DuDe shippers. ;D It would be cool to have an older-woman-younger-man relationship going on, especially if they don't make a big deal about it -- just treated it as a normal thing.

*scratches back of head* I'm a DuDe shipper, to be sure. But... seriously. 7 seasons and no hook up?
This is why I never venture to the Miami fandom on FFN anymore. Because 9/25 front page stories have to do with that shipping and peoples' fantasies.
Lemmie see the real action, pick up the pace, and PLEASE get them together after countless eppies of waiting! *wails*

Haha, I only started watching CSI: Miami full time at the beginning of season 6, I don't remember exactly when I started shipping DuDe/HipHuggers/EC or whatever you wanna call it (I stick with DuDe *shrug*) but it couldn't have been before the half way point of season 6. So I haven't really had to wait that long. But I feel sorry for fans who've loved Miami since the beginning (or at least before season 6) and have had to wait so long if they were shippers, getting little teasing episodes here and there. ;D I just hope they don't end up like Danny and Lindsay from CSI: NY, I'm not sure if it's a spoiler or not, because I haven't been watching lately, (I know one of their little surprises isn't) but I'm not going to talk about either just in case. I've always figured that Miami would end before their "futures" if they ever did get together. I never shipped DuDe with the hope of a marriage or kids or anything like that. Just the fact that we know they're together and happy. If they do get together, sure we can have an episode about them every so often, but most of the time I wouldn't want to know about their personal lives, or even see them cuddling in the lab, just that I know they're together. If you know what I mean. I also sort of hope that if they do get together there's no drama with them. Like fights, break-ups, the kidnapping thing has been done and so have the near death experiences (but hopefully none if they're actually together as well), just that they stay together and they're fine and dandy. But I don't really think that's Miami's style.

Well, there's that little matter of the department's fraternization policy (although MY GUY hasn't been around all season, so it might be a non-issue). Not sure how that's going to play out if they ever decide to finally do something with this.
Personally? I'd love to see Eric and Calleigh get married. Then I'd love to see how they handle the little things in married life. You know, like dirty socks on the floor. Squeeze the toothpaste tube in the middle or the bottom? Toilet paper roll over or under? Racing stripes in the undies? Whether or not to shave on the weekends? (either one of them!) Eating some of that spicy food in a closed-off, air-conditioned condo? And if children come, well, the relatives with all kinds of advice, the stretch marks, the sympathetic labor pains....
Hope I didn't ruin it for anyone. ;D

I have no opinion either way on the E/C thing, but I can tell you this-- If my favorite brunette doesn't show up in that one, I'll know for sure they're not serious about bringing them back. Nice pics, btw. Nice banner, CSIkt. I completely agree!

Well, there's that little matter of the department's fraternization policy Wonder if the nicer Stetler we've been seeing would turn a blind eye, or regretfully enforce the policy? Would Horatio go to bat for them and try to get the policy revoked? And maybe Jake could return and get snotty. It would also be interesting to see if Eric's attitude changed, once they got together. So far, he's been acting like he'll do anything Calleigh wants, if she'll just be with him. But he's no pushover, so at some point he'll want things done his way on just one issue -- and by then, Calleigh will have gotten used to being in charge, but she's a reasonable person too. It would be great to watch them reach a happy medium! I'm getting more enthusiastic about DuDe by the minute....

I completely agree! He's SUCH a pushover now, it kills me! God. That better happen. I understand he had a brain injury, but hell, he's almost COMPLETELY out of character now, it seems! What pained me the most was in the Wedding murder episode, where he gets the lap dance, but only cares about what happened to the girl. Like, HELLO? You used to be a manwhore (as I call him...he's Manwhore #1, Tim's #2, and Ryan's #3)! And now you don't even CARE that you're getting a lapdance? It's depressing.
