Title: Look After You Author: Caitie, Lilly, Kelly, and I Fandom: All the CSIs Pairing: Danny/OC, Hawkes/OC, Greg/OC, and Ryan/OC Rating: PG13 Warnings: Umm sad stuff and fun stuff rolled into one! Disclaimer: We don't own anything and if we did we'd be rich! But we own our OCs sooo chyeeaaah! Summary: Here’s the trequel (AKA the second one after Murder Nonstop to Texas and the first one after Two Become One). But you don't have to read the other two to understand! I’ve interspersed things from my own fic The One With The CSI’s. Stuff the others ask is actually things they would ask. Like always, enjoy.
“Shut up! It meant nothing!” Kelly yelled into the phone. Her friends were giving her a hard time because she kissed Mac. It was a bet! Nothing more!
“Come on, Kelly. Take a joke. Have you checked your mail yet?” Niki asked.
“No, why?”
“There’s something from Crystal,” Niki told her. Kelly fumbled through her mail and found the invitation. She ripped it open.
You are cordially invited to join in the celebration of Crystal Jacobs and Ryan Wolfe
She read it at least three times.
“Kelly, you still there?” Niki asked.
“Yeah, I just got the invitation. I can’t believe it. I’ve got to talk to Mac,” she said meaning she needed to get some days off. Of course, Niki would take that the wrong way.
“Oh! Well, you go talk to him then,” Niki emphasized the talk. Kelly scowled.
“No, I have to get some days off,” she hung up rolling her eyes. She got her car keys and drove to the lab.
“Kells,” Danny greeted her. “Did you get the invite?” She nodded.
“I have to talk to Mac about getting those days off,” she left him in the break room. “Mackey Boi!”
“Kelly, why do you call me that?” he asked. She shrugged.
“I need to take some days off. My friend Crystal, you remember her, is getting married and I’m a bridesmaid in it so I need some days off,” she explained.
“Fine,” he agreed. Kelly smiled ‘flirtatiously.’
“I’ll miss you,” she told him winking. To top it off, she put her hand on his arm. He was shocked to say the least. “I was joking, Mac, only joking.” She laughed. She loved making him turn red.
….................................................
“So are you excited or what?” Hawkes asked her. She smiled.
“Yeah,” she replied honestly.
“We will be landing in twenty minutes. Please put your trays in the upright position and throw away all trash,” the flight attendant announced.
………………………………………………………..
“Crystal!” Kelly hugged her friend when she got to the crime lab. She then greeted the rest of the lab.
“Kelly!” Lilly and Niki yelled. Kelly rolled her eyes. They had gotten earlier flights than her.
“Mac and Kelly forever!” Niki said. Kelly glared. Crystal and Lilly laughed.
“Is it true you two kissed?” Crystal asked.
“I have no recollection of that,” Kelly replied slyly. Lilly scoffed and pulled out her phone where she showed Crystal the picture of the incident. Kelly glared while everyone else laughed.
“That looks pretty passionate,” Crystal joked. Kelly was so embarrassed.
“It was a bet!” she didn’t mean to yell.
“What was a bet?” Ryan asked.
“Nothing!”
“Mac and Kelly kissed,” Crystal said.
“Isn’t the attention supposed to be on you since it’s your wedding?” Kelly asked desperate to change the conversation.
Later, now I want to know everything!”
“Oh Kelly and Mac flirted today!” Lilly told her. Kelly was turning redder than she made Mac turn.
“It was a joke!” Kelly explained.
“Sure it was,” Ryan said not believing her. Kelly shook her head. They were impossible. She walked away as they continued to joke about her.
……………………………………………………..
“Okay, Kelly, roses or tulips?” Crystal asked.
“Now you want to talk about the wedding?” Kelly asked incredulously. Crystal laughed. They loved messing with her.
“Yeah, what’s your answer?”
“Tulips,” Kelly sighed. She had a strong dislike of her friends right now.
“Oh cheer up,” Lilly laughed.
“Do you realize what you are accusing me of?” Kelly was dead serious.
“We are just messing around with you,” Niki said. “Wow that sounds really wrong.” Everyone laughed.
“It does,” Kelly was still laughing at her faux pas.
“Okay, so were you more turned on by Mac’s kiss or Hawkes’?” Crystal asked.
“Shut up!” Kelly was so annoyed at them.
“OoOoO,” Lilly said. Kelly just about slapped her.
"Scandalous," Niki added.
"Shut up!" Kelly said again.
“Stop being so serious all the time. It’s not fun,” Niki told her. Kelly rolled her eyes.
……………………………………………………….
“So you’re designated driver again?” Hawkes asked. “Are you going to be designated driver at your own bachelorette party?”
“I don’t know. Who knows if I will ever get married?” she replied. Hawkes got the point. Not yet. They weren’t ready quite yet. “Anyways the bachelorette party isn’t for a week or so.”
………………………………………………………
“Come to the beach, Kelly. It’s the one time Crystal is letting us have a vacation while we are here. Lilly and Danny are going to Disney World so come to the beach so we can surf!” Niki forced Kelly. She had no choice plus she hadn’t surfed in a while so she wanted to.
……………………………………………………
“Yumm,” Niki said looking at the guys.
“Don’t you have a boyfriend?” Kelly asked.
“Yes, and he would be proud of my taste in guys,” Niki replied. Kelly shook her head. This was going to be a long day.
“I don’t think he would be happy about all the guys gawking at you,” Kelly told her.
“You're just jealous,” Niki said making Kelly laugh.
“You wish,” Kelly scoffed. Niki rolled her eyes.
“Oh, go make out with Mac,” she joked. Kelly glared. She was never going to live that down.
………………………………………………………
“How was the beach?” Hawkes asked.
“Great, just great. At least I have my tan again,” Kelly told him. He nodded. “What did you do?”
“Ryan made me help him get a tux. I don’t know why me and not Eric,” Hawkes complained. Kelly laughed.

Errmmm this was Niki's chapter
Ryan was sitting on his couch watching TV when the doorbell rang. Then it rang again and again.
“Ryan can you get that?” Crystal shouted from upstairs.
“Fine,” Ryan moaned and walked to the door.
During Ryan’s walk to the door the doorbell rang four more times.
“Jeezs people today are so impatient,” He moaned. He opened the door and leaning on the frame was Niki.
Ryan’s eyes widen and he shouted, “What are you doing here?”
“I’m doing fine, thanks for asking,” Niki said sarcastically, “But if you must know the hotel wouldn’t let us stay,”
“Why they don’t allow people like Greg?” Ryan laughed.
“Actually,” Niki started, “The reservation was under your name, and they don’t allow losers to stay at their hotel. Then I tried telling them that Greg wasn’t you and that you were our friend. But they said they still weren’t going to let us stay because we knew you, the loser,”
“Wow I love you tan! The Miami rays do wonders for you!” Ryan said trying to change the subject.
“Aw you’re just jealous that I got the better dis!” Niki laughed, “But thanks anyways. So are you going to let us in or not?”
“Fine,” Ryan moaned, “You guys can stay here,”
“Sweet! Greg release the hounds!” Niki shouted to Greg.
“The hou…” Before Ryan could finish his sentence he was attacked by Hurley, Dakota, Sparky and Spanky.
“I don’t remember you having four dogs!” Ryan shouted from underneath the dogs.
“Hurley was lonely,” Niki simply stated.
Crystal walked downstairs to a pile of dogs on top of her soon to be husband, Niki standing above the pile, and Greg walking into the house with a pet carrier.
“Niki!” She shouted and gave Niki a hug, “Where are the puppies I want to see them?”
“Puppies?!?” Ryan shouted, still under the dogs.
Niki grabbed the pet carrier from Greg and sat on the ground. Crystal knelt besides her waiting to see the puppies. Greg went to the couch and started watching the TV and Ryan was still being attacked by Hurley, Dakota, Sparky and Spanky.
Niki pulled out a orange Siberian husky puppy and said, “This is Mia,”
“Aw, she looks exactly like Dakota,” Crystal gushed.
Niki pulled out another husky pup with large paws and black coloring, “This is Floppers, named for his big paws and flopping over them,” Crystal laughed.
Next was an orange-blue mixed puppy, “Crystal meet Montana,” Crystal took Montana and started playing with her.
“Okay now for the tough hot shot of the puppies, Spike,” She showed off a black Siberian husky that looked like he was ready for anything.
“And last but defiantly not least is Bubba!” Niki said lifting out a gray colored husky who was a little on the chubby side, but the cutest puppy you ever did see.
“Okay Niki I think Ryan has had enough,” Crystal said standing up and pointed to the pile of dogs on Ryan.
Niki rolled her eyes, “Fine. Hurley, Dakota, Sparky and Spanky off!” The dogs did as they were told and then went to play with the puppies.
“So Niki how was the beach,” Crystal asked still holding Montana.
“Good, I had guys lined up for miles,” She smiled.
“You what?” Greg asked turning toward Niki.
“Well…um… Greg you have a hot girlfriend, it comes with the territory,” Niki said saving herself.

“What do you mean I’m not the designated driver?” Kelly complained when the girls reached their first club.
“Because as official bachelorette party planner I decided that club hopping would be much more fun!” Niki smiled.
“And that way everyone can have more fun!” Adri continued handing Kelly a drink. __________________________________________________
A few clubs later, and many drinks later the girls were at their last club of the night.
“So Kelly,” Crystal slurred, “Now really, for real, whose kiss turned you on more? Mac or Hawkes?”
“Yea,” Niki stumbled, “You have to tell the truth!”
Lilly added, “And… and if you don’t…. we’ll tell!”
“Fine,” Kelly stuttered, “Mac’s kissing skills were awesome! I’m guessing cause of years of experience,” Then she realized what she had said. Kelly was about to say something else when she realized her friends were drunk and wouldn’t remember this at all.
“Sc… sca…. Scandalous!” Niki stumbled horrible.
“And that’s how we pretend to be drunk to make Kelly believe we wouldn’t remember that,” Crystal laughed.
“We are way to smart!” Lilly added, giving Crystal and Niki and high five.
“I kind of feel a little bad,” Niki said. Everyone gave her a funny look.
“I’m just kidding!” She smiled, “When do I ever feel bad?”
“By the time I’ve spent with you, which hasn’t been that long,” Adri started, “It seems like never!” Everyone laughed except Kelly. She was never ever going to live this down.
__________________________________________________
Niki had booked a hotel for her, Crystal, Kelly and Lilly to stay at, so their respected other wouldn’t distract them in anyway while they we’re trying to get ready for the wedding.
“I can’t believe you didn’t get a stripper Niki!” Crystal complained.
“I’m sorry! It’s not my fault that one of us has morals and the other is married!” Niki said hinting to Lilly and Kelly.
“Hey I would still like strippers!” Lilly protested.
The girls were waiting for Kelly to protest as well, but she was already sound asleep.
“Do you guys remember the time in college when we were trying to figure out who Kelly was dating?” Crystal asked.
“Yea we started whispering to her while she was sleeping,” Niki said.
“I know what you are thinking!” Lilly jumped up and down, “You want one of us to pretend to be Mac and she what she says!”
“Yes!” Crystal smiled, “Okay Niki you pretend to be Mac!”
“Why me?” Niki questioned.
“Cause you are awesome!” Lilly said.
“Fine,” Niki rolled her eyes. She walked over Kelly and said, “Hey there sugar lips, it’s your lover Mac,”
“Niki, Mac would never say anything like that!” Lilly said.
Niki rolled her eyes, “Well maybe this is the stuff he says to Kelly when people aren’t around,”
Finally Kelly answered, “Hey Mackey boy!”
“So what are you doing tonight?” Niki said with her best Mac impersonation.
“Nothing,” Kelly mumbled in her sleep.
“Oh really now, maybe you and me should, you know,”
“That sounds nice,” Kelly yawned.
Niki was about to say something, but then she looked at Lilly and Crystal, “How far do I have to go with this?”
“Yea I kind of don’t really want to know the really dirty details of Mac and Kelly’s relationship,” Lilly added.
“Yea that would be disturbing! Really, really, really disturbing!” Niki added.
“Fine, but next time we get a chance we are doing it again!” Crystal said.
“Alright, sounds like a plan,” Niki laughed, “Now let’s get some sleep. Don’t want to look tired for the wedding!”
Yeaaaaa it's Caitie's turn!!!! Which means...... You'll find out!!! hahahahahaha!!!

Hahaha, I get to post my own chapter. Here it is, complete with old author's note:
*cringe* Here's my part. I only got it done because of Niki's amazing motivational song singing skills. Pretty good lyrics for on the spot.
The more I thought about it, the more I thought weddings were stupid. Day of, and I was thinking about how stupid it all was. And the myths, oh the myths. Ryan was almost anal about making sure we didn’t do anything wrong, and everything right. He must have googled them, because he actually told me a whole list of things. “Don’t wear pearls day of”, “Crystal, whatever you do, don’t cry”, “Don’t sign your name as “Wolfe” until after we’re actually married”, “and don’t make your own dress”! I really don’t know where he got that from, because I definitely wasn’t planning on sewing together my own wedding dress.
I opened my eyes, looked around, and remembered I was in a hotel with Lilly, Niki, and Kelly. Adri left the night before to go home and help Eric with whatever. He probably couldn’t dress himself in a suit well enough. Another wedding tradition Ryan insisted on was that the bride and groom didn’t see each other on the day of the wedding. I had agreed to that one, but now I didn’t care about it. I was nervous and in a gross hotel room and I wanted to see him.
I got up out of the bed I was in and grabbed my cell phone. It said 7:34 am. I figured Ryan would be awake, so I grabbed my stuff and left the room, careful not to wake any of the girls. I called a cab outside.
“Ryaaan?” I called when I walked in. I listened for a minute and realized I could hear the shower, so I sat down on the couch.
Half an hour later I woke up to Ryan frowning at me from above.
“Oh hi,” I smiled from my back on the couch.
“No not hi, why are you here?”
I sat up. “Sorry I wanted to see you before the big event.”
“Bad luck, Crystal!”
I rolled my eyes. “Whatever Ryan, I didn’t do any of those other ridiculous myth things. Does it matter if someone else cries? Because behind her tough exterior, Kelly does have a soft side.”
“Kelly won’t cry.”
“She will, maybe Hawkes will cry along with her, you never know, he seems sensitive enough.”
“Yea that Hawkes...” Ryan said. He sat down beside me and put his arm around me.
“My name doesn’t match with your last name.”
“What?” he asked.
“Crystal... Wolfe. It just sounds weird. Oh and Mrs. That just makes me sound old.”
Ryan laughed. “You’ll get used to it,” he paused. “Where are the rest?”
“I ditched them at the hotel. They wouldn’t have let me come to see you if they’d known.”
“Well you weren’t supposed to come see me. Why did you?”
“I had to come see what I was marrying, just to be sure I wanted to go through with it,” I looked at him. “I definitely do.” Before I could look down again, he’d kissed me.
We heard the door open, close, and footsteps, before Niki barged in. “What do you two think you’re doing?”
We pulled apart. “Way to ruin the moment Niki,” I said. Right behind her, Lilly and Kelly walked into the room, along with Greg, for some reason. I think he just liked to follow Niki around.
“You’re supposed to wait until after the wedding!” Lilly said.
“Please we all know Crystal’s never waited longer than 2 weeks,” Kelly threw in. I rolled my eyes.
“Well, Crystal, it’s a good thing you snuck out of the hotel before we noticed, because I have two wedding gifts to give you now,” Niki told me.
“Ooh, presents?”
“Yea, well one’s from Greg that even I don’t know about. He said it’d be better if you opened it in front of us instead of waiting,” she shrugged. “Anyways, my gift, you’ve already met.”
“What?”
“Met who?” Ryan said. He obviously didn’t like the idea of it being something living.
Niki grinned at him. “Montana.”
I squealed, really squealed. “Really Niki?”
“Of course, I think she likes you the most,” Niki told me.
“What is Montana?” Ryan cut in.
I turned to him. “Uh... she’s one of the... puppies Niki has. You must have missed their names when she brought them in...” The look he gave me wasn’t a good one.
“You know I don’t like dogs. They’re dirty, need attention which we can’t give, exercise among other things!”
“Dogs are not dirty Ryan!” Greg shouted from across the room.
“They are too Greg!”
“Ryan, I really, really want her though,” I gave him my best puppy dog eyes. “Please?”
“Lighten up Ryan, it’s just a dog,” Lilly said.
He sighed, aware that he never really had a say in it. “Fine.”
“Yay!” I got up and ran upstairs, grabbing Montana to bring her down. I dropped her in Ryan’s lap. “Isn’t she cute?”
“Sure,” he said, looking down at her. I rolled my eyes and picked her up again.
“You’ll learn to love her.” I looked at Montana. “And you’ll love your new mommy,” I looked pointedly at Ryan, “and your new daddy will love you! Because you’re cute, yes you are.”
“I can’t wait to see you when you have kids,” Kelly mumbled.
“Now here’s my present guys!” Greg came forward holding out a sloppily wrapped box that I took from him. “I had to get you something Ryan would like too.”
I squinted at Greg. “That Ryan would like? What does that mean?”
“Just open it, I probably won’t like it,” Ryan said.
I took the paper off and opened the box, only to slam the lid back down and stare at Greg. “Oh my God, Greg!”
He was just grinning. “What?” Ryan asked, shifting to look.
“Nothing! It’s for... private moments. How was it better we opened this in front of you guys?”
“Oh it’s that kind of thing,” Ryan smiled at Greg. “Nice.”
“It was funnier that way,” he answered me before looking at Ryan. “I’m sure she’ll show you later,” he winked at me. I gaped at him. “Honeymoon probably.”
Kelly was shaking her head, while Lilly and Niki tried to hold back laughter.
“Okay, guys, time to go,” I said to Niki, Lilly and Kelly. “Greg and Ryan, call up Danny and Hawkes, and Eric, and go do whatever you need to do.”
“Finally!” Lilly said, pulling on my arm. “I can’t wait to put my dress on! I love the dresses! I love being a bridesmaid! I love weddings!”
“Wasn’t being the actual bride better Lilly?” Kelly asked as we made our way to the car.
“Well that was great too, but there’s just something about watching the wedding that’s better,” she told us.
“Well if I could I’d wear jeans and a t-shirt to do this,” I complained. “I hate dresses.”
“Admit it, Crystal, you’re excited, and you love the dress,” Niki said.
“Okay, so it’s nice.” I got into the car.
...
3 hours later, and I felt like hyperventilating. I was in a dress, in a limo with Ryan’s ring around my thumb.
“HERE!” Lilly yelled before opening the door and getting out. Niki and Kelly looked at me before following her.
“Uhm guys... help?” It felt like I was wearing a corset, even though I wasn’t. And it was hot, we were in Miami after all, and it wasn’t in an air conditioned church, no. We didn’t want that. So it was near a hot beach. At least we wouldn’t have to drive to a the reception, since we had the space here.
I heard Niki laughing before poking her head in. “Sorry!” They all helped in getting me out.
“Wow, Crystal, you look awesome,” Lilly said before spraying me with some kind of perfume.
“Thanks,” was all I could manage to say. “You guys look great too.”
“This place looks good,” Kelly said.
“The bride’s here!” I heard someone yell. It was Ryan’s Mom, oh God. She was horrible, but I had to admit, she’d helped a lot. Plus I was probably going to be seeing a lot more of her...
“Yo, Mrs. Wolfe,” Niki said. “Please tell us where to go.” And with that we were all dragged off.
15 more minutes later, and I was separated from Kelly, Lilly and Niki, and felt like I was going to explode from anxiety. Before I knew what happened I was standing in front of Ryan, who to put it simply, looked hot, with Kelly, Lilly, Adri, and Niki at my side. Eric, Greg, Hawkes and Danny on Ryan’s.
Among first row seats were both of our parents, Ryan’s sister, and close friends, most of them from the Miami Crime Lab. I could see Horatio, Calleigh and Natalia, and who was that? Oh, who invited Cooper?
I tuned back in when I heard my name and the rest of the minister saying “...have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and health, until death do you part?”
He talked too fast. But I said “I do,” before he repeated it for Ryan.
Then I heard him saying “Are there any objections?” Why was he saying that? He was not supposed to say that, you don’t say that anymore.
“They can’t get married,” I heard someone mumble. What the hell? “Because... I’m in love with Ryan.” Now I was almost freaking out, but instead just stared at Ryan, who was staring to my side.
“Really?” he said. I turned my head, to see Niki shaking her head yes. “Well, you know... I sort of have a thing for you.”
This had to be a joke.
“Really?” I heard Niki gush, before taking a step forward. Greg was staring at her with raised eyebrows. She looked around slowly before shaking her head. “I’m just kidding guys, jeez.”
“What the hell Niki?” Greg and I said simultaneously. I smacked Ryan on the arm.
“Sorry, I knew you were nervous, thought I’d lighten the mood, didn’t think Ryan would go along with it though,” she explained.
Ryan shrugged. “Sorry.”
The minister cleared his throat and everyone looked at him. “Can we continue?”
“Yes please!” I said a bit too loudly.
“If there are no real objections, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride.”
After what seemed like the longest kiss ever, in a good way, during which I heard Lilly go “aaw,” I looked up to see Eric with his head bowed. I raised my eyebrows at Ryan. He turned around.
“Eric?”
Eric looked up. “What?”
“Are you crying?” Ryan sounded astonished.
“I’m sorry; it was just a beautiful moment...”
Haha, stupid ending. But I did it, I wrote that. And didn’t like one bit of it just so you know, besides Greg’s present (oh how I love to write implied perv) and Eric crying. Thank you Niki for the objections idea, it made it less weird to write. I would also like to thank the wonderful thing we all call Google. This would have been complete crap without Google. And Kelly, you're welcome. Lilly’s turn.

Well this was Lilly's chapter...
Disclaimer: I do NOT own any of these songs. But if I did own NLT and Chris Brown they would NEVER see daylight....EVER!! Enjoy!!!
The wedding was in one word to say AWESOME!! The kiss was the cuteset part, I just had to go 'aaw'. But the part that I didn't get was where Niki and Ryan revealed their 'love' for eachother. No one knows this but I invited Cooper, just to be nice. By the time the ceremony was over everyone was at the PARTY part, the reception! Of course to be traditional Ryan and Crystal got the bride and groom dance, the song was my choice. The song started and Ryan led Crystal to the dance floor
Your face your hair your attitude Your eyes your smile your body too Those are some of the things I like And there's a couple I can't describe (Oh Girl)
Ryan and Crystal swayed soflty to the music. The rest of the crowd watched quietly, not wanting to ruin the moment. After the chrous was halfway through repeating the second time Danny and I took the floor followed by Niki and Greg then Kelly and Hawkes.
There's been times in my past girl Where I aint made quite the right descions girl But now I know there aint no one incredible like you (not like you)
Some of the remaining crowd joined the dance floor, but not many. As the song ended the whole party clapped for Ryan and Crystal (and for the DJ my uncle BIG ROB). Me: NOW ITS TIME Niki: TO GET Kelly: THIS PARTY Crystal: STARTED!!!!!! Me: WOOOOOOOO The song Forever by Chris Brown blasting through the speakers Me: OMG THIS IS MA SONG Niki: It is her theme song Me: Can I go? Kelly+Crystal+Niki: YES GO!! Me: WOOOOO I ran to the dance floor right as the first verse starts
It's you and me moving at the speed of light into eternity yeah Tonight is the night to join me in the middle of ectasy Feel the melody and the rhythm of the music around you(around you)
Halfway through the bridge of the song I see Kelly, Crystal, Niki, Adri, Sierra, Dawn and Katie join me on the dance floor. We continue to dance until the end of the song. When the song is over I head to where Big Rob is DJing. Me: Big Rob? Big Rob: Yup? Me: I have a favor to ask Big Rob: Ask away... Me: I want you to play this CD *hands him a CD* on tracks 3 and 4 Big Rob: *looks at CD* Okay then *puts CD in* Me: Thanks!! I run back to the dance floor where the girls are, right as the intro to Do You Know comes on. Crystal: Do you know? Me: What it feels like? Crystal: OUR SONG!!!!!!! Me: Would you care to dance The Ping of Ma Pong Crystal: I sure would The Pong of Ma Ping! Niki: Couple of weird people
Do you know what it feels like? Loving someone who's in a rush to throw you away? (Do you know Do you know Do you know) Do you know what it feels like? To be the last one To know the lock on the door has changed?
Crystal and I danced to the rest of OUR song!! Even the rest of the girls joined in on the fun. Then when the song was over Push came on.
Fly boy yeah right Hey mamma they call me Wheezy You should be with me I gotta pocket full of reasons Baby I can bless you when you ain’t even sneezing I be at your rescue when you don’t even need me I can have you dreaming when you ain't even sleeping
The girls grabbed their guys and headed to the dance floor. The girls and guys danced until the end of the song when I grabbed the mic. Me: We are going to play this song because Crystal LOVES MJ!!! Crystal to Niki: Thriller? Niki: No Crystal: Bad? Niki: No Crystal: BEAT IT?! Niki: Maaaaaaybeee Me: HIT IT BIG ROB!!
They Told Him Don't You Ever Come Around Here Don't Wanna See Your Face You Better Disappear The Fire's In Their Eyes And Their Words Are Really Clear So Beat It Just Beat It
Crystal: I knew it! The rest of the girls and Crystal danced to the song until it ended. Could this night get any better?!

This was my chapter and it's short 'cause I had to go to bed and I had camp the next day so...
The wedding was amazing. I never thought I'd be one to think that, but maybe marriage isn't too bad. The reception was the best part. I don't dance, but I made an exception. Maybe it was so they would lay off the Kelly/Mac crap. I had the strangest dream. I think we were playing scalpel darts and 'flirting.' I finally got the DJ to play Thriller. I forgot that I knew the dance. Well, I knew that I knew, but the other's didn't know. I might have had something to drink. Okay five shots will do it. I walked out into the middle of the dance floor and my shoulder started twitching.
"Yeah Kelly!" Niki yelled. I glared. I was a little mad at her stealing my objection idea. And the party incident. That is why I normally don't drink. Before I knew it I was doing the Thriller dance. Well, leading it. Lilly came out onto the floor too and danced. Crystal and Niki soon followed. So there we were dancing to Thriller on video, I might add. I had really never done something like that. I thought what the heck because my reputation had already been trashed. The fact is that I've never actually done that with a guy so I was annoyed by the accusations.
"Bravo!" the DJ yelled when the song was done. I had the biggest grin on my face. Never thought I'd do that, and I'll never do that again. I've never been that embarrassed, and I'm pretty sure that video will go to New York. Flack and Danny won't let me live this down. The DJ then put on my song The More I Drink by Blake Shelton. I was so embarrassed as I hadn't chosen the song. It had chosen me. That and my friends thought it was hilarious. I like the song Gunpowder & Lead by Miranda Lambert. But then again I can't give away my motive.
"Kelly, this is your song!" Niki yelled. I glared again. This is probably why I was at the bar. Goodness, if I was still sober, I wouldn't be for long. I might have drunk my weight in shots that night. Well, I know I shouldn't drink, but I thought the reasoning was good.
"Kelly," I heard from behind me. Hawkes came up and put his hands on my shoulders. "You shouldn't be drinking this much or at all."
"Yeah, whatever," I answered room spinning. I would pay for drinking that much the next day. I was about to get another shot when he stopped me.
"This might be a problem. You know alcohol won't solve anything," he answered confused as to why I was now drinking. I just thought about life. Dang I felt like a prude. Might have just been the alcohol.
"Kelly, you okay?" Crystal asked. "You look pretty wasted."
"I'm not yet," I mumbled. She and Hawkes led me away from the bar.
"Okay, you're never drinking again," Hawkes put his arm around my waist to support me.
"Yeah, so what?" I asked harsher in my state.
"Ugh, what am I to do with you?" he wondered out loud.
"I don't know, but you look really good," I said as I tried to kiss him.
"Kelly, no! You're wasted. I'm not going to take advantage of that," he said firmly though hesitantly. I sighed. What the heck was I doing?
"Is she wasted?" Niki asked thinking of evil things.
"I think so," Hawkes answered as I leaned more and more on him.
"And you are just not going to do anything?"
"Wow, Kelly is right. You have like no morals," Hawkes said laughing. Niki looked offended but laughed anyway.
"True," she said.
"Dang Kelly's wasted," Lilly laughed.
"Why can't we for once focus on Crystal?" I managed to get out.
"It's too fun not to," Crystal answered giggling.
"Kelly's wasted isn't she?" Danny asked walking up and putting his arms around his wife.
"Yeah, can't wait to tell everyone back in New York," Lilly laughed like a maniac. And I thought I was drunk.
"Ryan! Eric! Greg! Get over here! Kelly's wasted," Danny called to the guys. They came over at once not believing this.
"As in Kelly Higgins?" Ryan laughed. I wanted the earth to swallow me up, but sadly no such thing happened to me. Oh what would I say when word got to New York. Oh gosh! I needed to throw up. Niki helped me to the ocean since there wasnt' a restroom near. Wow! I never want to be wasted again. She told me that it would be worse in the morning. I already felt sick. We went back into the reception. Hawkes let me lean on him again. I felt bad about what I said earlier.
"Never thought I'd see Kelly wasted," Eric told us. I was too out of it to glare, but I did make an obscene gesture.
"Let's go sit down," Hawkes whispered in my ear. I nodded. I felt terrible, and the room was already starting to spin. The lights and sounds were already hurting. What I was feeling then was nothing compared to what I was about to feel.

This was NIKI's chapter!
I am soooooooo sorry that it took sooooo long to update it. First my Internet wasn't working, then my cousins came down and would look over my shoulder while I was at the computer. And that bothered me. Oh yea there are a few that's what she said, just warning ya! Sooo here it is!! Enjoy!!
"Greg, can you stop bouncing your leg up and down?" I always hated it when he did that, especially when I was sitting on his leg. But I knew he had something on his mind.
"Oh sorry," He mumbled. Greg wrapped his arms around my waist and rested his head on my shoulder, "So did you like the wedding?"
I shrugged, "Eh, it was alright. You know weddingy,"
"Weddingy?" He questioned, "Usually you're more descriptive. What's up?"
I sighed, "Well everything is gonna be different now. I mean Lilly and Crystal are married now and when you get married you, you settle down. And don't get me wrong, Kelly's fun to hang with, but she's got really high morals. I know all four of us are still going to hang out, but it won't be the same,"
"How won't it be the same?" Greg looked at me.
"Lilly is married to Danny, who I know nothing about. Then Crystal is married to Ryan, who's Mr. OCD which makes her Mrs. OCD," I was starting to ramble.
"Alright," Greg interrupted me, "I get it. Maybe you should try to get to know Danny,"
He was right. "You're right!" I stood up and started walking away. Then I realized something, I needed Greg to help break the ice.
___________________________________________________
"I can't believe Hawkes won't touch Kelly," I started, "So what if she's wasted? If Greg was I'd be all over that!"
"That's what she said," Danny nodded.
I turned to him and gave him a look. He shrunk back like I was going to yell at him. Boy was he in for a surprise.
"Niiiiice!" I put my hand up, he high five it. At that moment we realized why we were brought together.
__________________________________________________
It was finally time for the shoving cake time. I never really understood why it was such a big tradition. But since Ryan was the one for tradition, it had to be done. Crystal had just shoved the cake into Ryan's face, which he didn't look to happy about. Ryan shoved a piece of cake onto Crystals face. I turned to Danny and he nodded.
"Oh Ryan," I shouted, "You really know how to shove it in there!"
"That's what she said," Danny added.
Everyone turned to us. Ryan looked like he was going to kills us. I thought Lilly and Crystal were going to die from trying not to laugh.
"Ryan, you got some white stuff on your face," I mumbled.
"That's what she said," Danny injected.
I turned to Danny and asked, "Couldn't that be considered that's what he said?"
"It could, but would you still get the same effect?" Danny pondered.
"You should. I mean it still alludes to a se..."
"Oh my God!" Ryan shouted, "Do you have to say this stuff in front of my mother and Crystal's?"
"Actually Ryan," Crystal interrupted, "My mom is so use to it. She knew Niki in her college days,"
"It's true," I nodded.
Ryan rolled his eyes, "Well can you two ponder this that's what she said vs. that's what he said somewhere else?"
Danny and I looked at each other and shrugged. I guess it didn't really matter where we had the debate.
___________________________________________________
Danny and I got bored of sitting around, so we decided to go dance. Lilly was off playing with the puppies and Greg was... was... was somewhere. So Danny and I were dancing together.
"Haven't Crystal and Ryan ever heard of a quickie? It's been two hours!" I said.
"I always thought of Ryan to be the type to have to cuddle for like two hours," Danny said.
I thought about it for a second, "True, I never saw Ryan as the type to go that long. But I think I should call and check-up on them," I grabbed my purse and headed toward the street were it was quieter.
___________________________________________________
I reached the sidewalk and started pacing while dialing Crystal's number. Before I could press send something caught my eye. I bent down to get a closer look and that's when it hit me. I run to the limo and changed out of my dress and back into my cloths. Next I was off to Eric's hummer to steal his kit. I ran back to the sidewalk, knelt down, and put on a pair of gloves. I picked up the bullet and studied it.
"Alright Niki," I started talking to myself, "What can keep you from hearing a gun being fired?" "Loud music, but I think I could still pick... silencer!" I stood up and started looking for any evidence of a silencer. Finally I found something. Using the tweezers I picked up a piece of shattered plastic.
"Poor man silencer," Wow I really needed to stop talking to myself. I looked across the street and saw a dumpster, then I saw a garbage truck.
"Whoa!" I shouted, "Don't you dare think about throwing out that garbage!"
The garbage man looked at me, "And if I do?"
I laughed, "I'll shove you in the compacter. And I'm not joking,"
The man shrunk back, "Okay! Chuck let's get out of here!"
Before I jumped into the dumpster I called Greg and told him to bring all the CSI to the dumpster. Once everyone was there, they all looked at me like I was nuts. Go figure.
"Um Niki," Lilly said, "Why aren't you wearing your dress?"
"Because one I'm not jumping into a dumpster with a dress on," I said.
Danny nodded, "That makes sense,"
"Two," I continued, "My belly button ring keeps getting caught to my dress,"
"Then why didn't you take it off?" Hawkes asked.
Hm, he had a point. "Whatever," I blew off his question, "and C it's really hard to process a crime scene in a dress,"
"Ha! I didn't know C was a number," Eric laughed.
I rolled my eyes, "Would you like me to hurt you Eric?"
"Um, Miss Foxx," Horatio started, "What crime scene are you talking about?"
I rolled my eyes again. People these days are so impatient. I jumped into the dumpster and searched for the silencer. Finally I found it.
"Eric, be a dear and test this soda bottle for GSR," I handed him the bottle.
"It's blue," He said, startled.
"And what does that mean?" I asked, already knowing the answer.
"That it's positive for GSR,"
"Thank you," I nodded and jumped out of the dumpster, "Now if you follow me, it would be greatly appreciated,"
Everyone walked over to where I found the bullet. I knelt down to pick it up.
"No visible blood," I said, "But it's mushroomed, so it was fired,"
"What kind of gun?" Horatio asked softly.
".45,"
"Any casings?"
"No," I sighed, "But someone could have stepped on it, or kicked it, or the little rain shower we had could've washed it away,"
"With all the blood evidence," Greg finally got it.
"Hey guys!" Lilly shouted from across the street, "I found some tire treads with a 86 inch wheelbase. So I'm guessing Land rover,"
"Hey there are a couple of security cams around here. Maybe they saw something," Kelly said. I guess realizing what happened sober her right up.
"You wanna call it Niki?" Greg asked, knowing how hard this was for me.
"I guess," I sighed, "Ryan and Crystal couldn't wait for the honeymoon. They most likely called for a cab. While they were waiting for it the, the," my voice started to shake, "the kidnappers came. I'm sure Ryan put up a fight. Then as a scare tactic, they, they," I closed my eyes. I couldn't finish.
When I opened my eyes Lilly was crying, Eric was teary, and Kelly looked like she was going to puke. And it wasn't from drinking to much.
Horatio stood there, sunglasses on and hands on his hips. The sun reflected off of his hair, as is blew softly in the light beach breeze. "Well I guess we have," He paused dramatically, "to find them."
Yea I know it's a lame one liner, but I couldn't think of anything! And that awesome last bit was sooooo HUFFY!!!!! Caitie's turn!!

This waaas Caitie's chapter
It's short but it's done!
“How much longer Ryan?” I whined when we were standing alone. I had my arms around his neck and was practically hanging off of him.
He rolled his eyes then smirked. “You just can’t wait can you?”
I made a weird growling noise I didn’t even know I could do. Ryan put his hand over his face. “Sorry,” I laughed. “You know, I’m thankful for having Niki as a friend.”
“Huh? Why?”
“She has great ideas.”
“Oh really? I don’t really want to hear those ideas here...”
I frowned. “Why not?”
“Our parents are here.”
“So?”
He rolled his eyes again. “Just because okay! I’m not like you and Niki, I’m not completely comfortable with talking about stuff like that with anyone at any time I feel like it,” he stopped and took a breath. “I think I’m more like Kelly...” I just stared at him.
“I think that’s why I love you, Ryan...”
“Because I’m like Kelly?”
“No! Never mind! So should I call the cab now or what?”
“Now you want to take a cab?”
“I was never much for fancy things, this was all your mother,” I said, gesturing to the general area.
He didn’t say anything so I pressed on. “So, me, you, hotel, 30 minutes? No one will even realize we’re gone.”
“We’re the main reason everyone is here, of course they’ll notice!”
I pouted. “Please? We’ve only been married about 3 hours and already you’re denying my needs...” I said, shaking my head and trying not to smile.
“Fine! Just be quiet about it, please.”
Now that Ryan had given in, we walked around front, and I was surprised no one noticed us leaving. I’m sure if Kelly, Niki or Lilly did they wouldn’t have said anything anyways.
I was dazed off, in my own world when I felt a hand go around my mouth from behind. My eyes widened and right away I squeaked. I couldn’t scream, but I started scratching at the arm. Ryan was in front of me, but when he heard me squeak he turned around.
He started coming forward but stopped quickly and stared wide eyed.
“Come closer and she’ll be going down,” I heard a voice from behind me. Then I felt cold metal against my temple. Ryan took one more step forward, and the man shot at the ground. I cringed away from it, and Ryan looked shocked.
...
My head hurt. A lot. I groaned and rolled over, realizing I was on something hard. I took a deep breath and then gasped. It was like I’d inhaled gas fumes. My nose was burning. I opened my eyes and looked at the ceiling. This definitely wasn’t the hotel. I sat up; I was sitting on the floor facing a blank wall. I still had my dress on, but it was covered in something.
I pulled it away from my body, and realized what was on it. It was blood.
“Oh my -” I stopped when I remembered Ryan. I turned around, looking for him. I breathed a sigh of relief when I saw him, he looked like he was out cold, but at least he was okay... if he was okay.
I crawled over to him; he was lying on his stomach and grabbed his shoulder. “Ryan?” I whispered.
He groaned. “Huh?”
“Thank God, are you okay?”
He crossed his arms above his head. “No.”
“Please get up.”
He rolled over and frowned at me. “Whoa what happened?” I didn’t remember that much, I just knew I had a gun pointed to my head and Ryan was powerless.
“You don’t remember?” he said, sitting all the way up and moving so he was against the wall. His face had dried blood on it, as did the floor where he was lying, and I was willing to bet it was his blood on my dress. On top of that, a black eye, and he kept rubbing his head. “You passed out, smelled like chloroform. I tried fighting the guy off when he lowered the gun, and this other guy that came out of nowhere had you. But these guys were huge and the one just hit me and I was so dazed that I couldn’t do anything else,” he took a breath, “and my nose hurts now...”
“Ryan...” I moved over and wrapped my arms around him as gently as possible. “Thanks for trying.”
He wrapped his around me. “Where are we?”
The room we were in was small. No windows, just a door. The room was absolutely bare; there wasn’t anything at all inside. The smell of gasoline was continuously burning our noses.
“I have no idea, but now, I really hope someone notices we’re gone...”
Apparently we're reaaally calm kidnap victims. Sorry for being so short, but what is there to write about when you're in a room filled with nothing?

Another short chapter from me XD
I woke up confused. Very confused. Like one of those Geometry class confusing times except one million times more confused. Like one of those times you look at a test and realize that the six hours you studied were for not, and you were going to fail no matter what. Kind of one of those times you are on a case and your boss, Mac in my instance, gives you an impossible variable to find. But this was real. I had done it. I had really done it. I had gone all the way and against all my morals. But the funny thing is I didn’t care. I felt good for a change, but I didn’t know if it would last. “Hawkes,” I whispered, kissing his chest.
“Kelly, did we?”
“Looks like it,” I smiled at him, trying to hide a hint of regret at not waiting, and it wasn’t as if it was my first time, but Hawkes was special. He really cared about me, and he wanted the best for me. He kissed the top of my head. I didn’t want to get up then. There I was safe. With him, I didn’t get hurt. Out in the world, Crystal and Ryan were missing. Out there I had to hide the hurt that was. But I also realized that it really wasn’t anything more than comfort. I mean I loved him, but I was in such a bad place with Crystal being missing that I just needed someone to be there so I guess it wasn’t real. I couldn’t tell him that.
“Come on, we have to get up,” he whispered softly into my ear. I sighed. I knew he was right, but we would’ve gotten a call if they had something. I kissed his lips softly, trying to convince him that we didn’t need to go yet. That we should just stay there in that bed. It worked for then, but soon enough we got a call telling us we had to be at the lab ASAP.
………………………………………………………..
“You paged?” I asked Horatio, hoping that Hawkes and I had cleaned ourselves up well enough. Niki walked into the room, and my stomach dropped. She would figure out that something was off. I stepped nearer to Hawkes who was holding my hand, our fingers interlaced. I could hear his heart beat against my back, and my mind went back to that night.
“Hawkes,” I whispered seductively in his ear. He pressed his lips to mine, exploring my mouth with his tongue. I knew he was a good kisser, but I was amazed. And there I was, in his arms, undoing his shirt buttons.
“Yes,” he broke my train of thought. I looked at him. Niki gave me a look as to why I was so close to Hawkes. I knew she knew. “Trace that you picked up off the ground. It’s lipstick.” I didn’t hear it though. Thankfully, Hawkes did. He squeezed my hand. Horatio left the room.
“I’ll meet you in the locker room,” Hawkes whispered to me. He knew I wasn’t paying attention. I had the same look on my face when talking to Horatio that I reserved for when I was pretending to listen to Mac. He let go of my hand.
“What’s that about?” Niki asked with a knowing smile. I rolled my eyes.
“Nothing like that,” I snapped back a little too fast.
………………………………………………………………………
“Okay, so I know you weren’t paying attention,” Hawkes made me smile with that comment.
“What did Horatio say?”
“The evidence is lipstick.”
“That’s not why we’re in the locker room,” I stated.
“I’m sorry.”
“’Bout what?” I asked, knowing that we both knew what he was talking about.
“Last night. We shouldn’t have done that. I shouldn’t have taken advantage of the fact that you needed comfort,” he told me in all seriousness. I smiled and put my hands on the back of his neck. We were chest to chest. Our hearts in sync. I wanted to close the gap between our lips so much. So I started to. He mimicked me. The door opened. Of course the door opened. Niki stood very amused looking at us. We separated from each other quickly.
“Tsk, tsk,” she laughed. I rolled my eyes. Hawkes quickly made an excuse to leave as he didn’t want to get in the middle of this. She waited until after he left. “You slept with him.” It wasn’t a question. It was like she knew. I stood there, too shocked to say anything. I hated that she had this ability to know these things.
“Yeah,” I didn’t even try to lie. It was useless.
“You, Kelly Catherine Higgins, ignored your morals and slept with him?” she was laughing.
“Yes, I did,” I felt so ashamed when she put it like that.
“You didn’t do it because you wanted it. You did it for comfort. That’s pretty low for you. Something I’d do,” she was really starting to grate. Greg walked in.
“Guys, we have a good lead,” he told us. We followed him quickly to the trace lab. Hawkes, Eric, and H were standing around the table. I wondered where Danny and Lilly were, but then I remembered that it was Danny and Lilly so I knew exactly what they’d be doing.
“What’s the lead?” I asked, hoping for the best.
“A piece of the mesh on a microphone, and the best part is that we know who it is,” Hawkes told me with a smile. I grinned back. Maybe things would be looking up for the best this time. I could only hope that Crystal and Ryan were okay.

This is Niki's.
Well this hasn't been updated in like uberly forever... haha but it's cool. You finally know how this goes! haha Well here's my part...
“Who is it?” I asked. Well it was more of a demand.
“Erika Sykes.” Horatio said, sliding a piece of paper over to me and Kelly.
Kelly stared at that picture, “This chick kidnapped Ryan and Crystal?”
Just then Danny and Lilly bust through the door. Danny was waving a video tape in his hand.
“Security tape from the building across the street,” Danny said, breathless, “It got a black Land Rover with the license plate SYKES.”
“Erica Sykes,” Horatio nodded, “I’m calling Frank to tell him to bring her in.”
I looked at Kelly and she nodded back at me.
“Caine,” I said sternly, “Kelly and I will be doing the interrogation. No if’s ands or buts about it!”
“And we don’t take no very easily.” Kelly added, glaring at the Lieutenant.
Horatio sighed audible, “I’ll call you when she gets in.”
…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
I sat on the bench in the locker room, staring at Crystal’s name tag on her locker. What if it was too late? What if Ryan and her were already dead? What if this Sykes chick didn’t give up their location? I sighed placing my face in my hands. Couldn’t we for once get together and there not be any trouble?
I heard the door open and footsteps walk toward me. I felt an arm wrap around my shoulders and pull me tight. I looked up to see Greg’s eyes looking into mine.
“You okay?” Greg asked.
I rolled my eyes, “My best friend and husband were kidnapped from their wedding by some crazy physco chick. Yeah I’m gonna be perfectly fine Greg!”
Greg cupped my face in his hands. “Alright Niki, no need to snap at me like that.”
“Snapping? You think that’s snapping, then wait till you see this!” I stood up from the bench, “Gregory Sanders how the hell could you ask me if I was okay? My best friend could be dead! That’s right dead! And she just got married! That’s not supposed to happen! Today was supposed to be the happiest freakin’ day of her life! Not the worst!”
“Niki, I didn’t mean it…”
I cut him off, “Yeah I’m sure you didn’t mean it! Screw you Greg!”
I stormed out of the locker room and into Horatio. He stumbled backwards, not prepared for my strength. He must have saw the look in my eyes, cause he just nodded at me and I knew.
…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
Kelly and I decided that we were going to play bad cop, bad cop. We had never done an interrogation together before, but we both had a reputation of being the bad cops. And with how angry I was already, this chick was in for it.
We walked into the room. Kelly sat opposite of the blonde haired suspect. I leaned against the two way mirror, staring her down.
“Alright,” Kelly started, “Where are they?”
“Where are who?” Erika asked her voice cold and hard.
Kelly rolled her eyes, “Don’t play dumb with me! We have you! We know that you kidnapped Ryan and Crystal Wolfe!”
Erika just sat there, not budging an inch. My eyes widened. That was the first time I heard someone call them Ryan and Crystal Wolfe. I left my spot against the mirror and stood next to Kelly.
“Ryan and Crystal who?” Erika asked.
“That’s it!” I slammed my fist on the table, “I’m tired of you playing the dumb blonde! Though I betcha you are! So why don’t you cut the crap and tell me where they are!”
“Dumb blonde,” She growled, “Look who became a cop.”
“I went to college! And I’m a CSI and I analyze evidence that says you were involved in kidnapping Ryan and Crystal!”
She shot me a look, “Then why don’t you ‘analyze’ the evidence to figure out where they are?”
This time Kelly was the one who got angry. She stood up from her chair and glared at the suspect. “You don’t tell us where they are, you’re in a world of hurt.”
“Yeah,” I continued for Kelly, “You kidnapped two cops. And right now we can do whatever it takes to get information out of you. And we won’t get in trouble for it.”
“So what’s it gonna be? A world of hurt or you telling us where they are.” Kelly growled, cracking her knuckles for effect.
Erika folded. She sang like a canary. Once I heard the address I ran out of the interrogation room, followed closely behind Kelly. My first thought was to hotwire one of the hummers and go there ourselves. But the Miami CSIs plus Danny, Lily, and Greg were following us. It was time to get back one of our own; it was time to get back our friends.
……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………
We were vested up and ready to bust into the building. It was right by the fuel tanks for the airport. The smell of gas stung my nose. I felt horrible for Ryan and Crystal, having to smell this for the 24 plus hours they were missing. I turned my safety off my gun and everyone else copied me.
“We ready to do this?” I asked, not really caring for an answer.
“Let’s,” Horatio paused, putting on his sunglasses, “Get ‘em back!”
Well how was that? I hope you guys liked it.. though it's kind of short...

Figured I'd post this. The whole kidnapping thing was sooo thought up before Miami decided to copy us. Just so readers know. ;D Oh and everything up until after Erica Sykes decides to visit Ryan and Crystal is happening BEFORE Niki and Kelly questioned her last chapter.
“Do you have anything to get this blood off?” Ryan asked, pointing to his face which now had dried blood on various spots. It had been pouring from his nose earlier that day. I looked around the room; there really was nothing in it. I looked back at Ryan.
“The only thing I have handy is this dress. Guess it won’t matter much seeing as it’s already covered in blood.” I sat up against the wall and decided that I might as well tear a piece right off. I grabbed the bottom of the dress and tore a long strip, where it was mostly clear of anything. “Here,” I handed it to him. Usually I would have tried to help, but I knew he was hurting and I didn’t want to do anything to make it worse.
“Thanks,” he replied. “You know we’re going to have to pay for that dress now,” he said through the material. I waited for him to finish. “Well I think they’ll understand. After all we have been kidnapped and one of us beaten.”
“I don’t know, those bridal places can be scary.”
I sighed. “I just hope we’ll be alive to pay for it...”
“We’ll be okay, they would have noticed we’re gone by now. It doesn’t even take us this long to do the nasty and get back to our own wedding.”
I rolled my eyes but couldn’t help smiling. “I hope they have something at least. A lead or something. I mean we should be freaking out. We have no idea where we are or who has us.”
“Maybe we’re not freaking out because we don’t know... you hear that?”
I sat and listened for a minute. I heard what sounded like the whoosh of a garage door opening. “I think someone’s coming,” I whispered. Sure enough, the only door in the wall swung open and a large man stepped inside. He was wearing casual clothes, jeans and a t-shirt, and had a bag in his hand.
Ryan and I sat on the floor where we were and stared at him, waiting for him to say something.
“You Ryan Wolfe?” he said at Ryan.
Ryan only nodded.
“This your wife?” he looked down at me, like he was disgusted by the mere sight of me.
“Depends,” Ryan said calmly.
“Oh yea? On what?” he said, kneeling in front of us. Ryan didn’t say anything. “I’ll just hazard a guess and say she is. It’s not rocket science when she’s sitting there in a wedding dress. You’re dressed for the occasion too.” I sat staring at the floor in front of me. The last thing I wanted was to be taken away from Ryan, best not to draw attention to myself.
Another man, much shorter and scrawnier than the first, also wearing jeans and a plaid shirt walked in behind the first. He smirked at the other. “Think we’ll get a bonus?”
Man One laughed. “Maybe. She’ll be happy. Maybe we’ll get a little something more, huh?”
“You two are disgusting!” I said. I spat at the guy kneeling in front of Ryan, surprising even myself. So much for not drawing attention to myself. I missed by a long shot, but that didn’t matter.
“What do you think you’re doing you little bitch?” Man One grabbed my arm and hauled me to my feet then held my face between his hands and forced me to look at him.
Ryan had stood up not 5 seconds after he had grabbed me. “Don’t touch her!” The smaller man, Man Two, stepped forward. Ryan didn’t look worried; he was taller and more built than the smaller guy.
“You’d better sit back down,” he said to Ryan.
“What are you going to do if I don’t?”
He drew a small gun from behind him; it must have been stuck in his belt. “I might just kill you. Anyways that’s probably what’s going to happen, I’ll just be saving some time.” Ryan looked from Man Two to me, and then reluctantly sat back down on the cold floor.
Man One smiled at me, and I tried to look away, but he had my face tight, so I closed my eyes. “Yea, I didn’t think you’d want your new hubby’s time on earth to be over so soon.” He let go of my face, and I opened my eyes, unable to help myself I spat at him again, this time it hit him dead on the bridge of his nose. He swiped at his face, and then raised his arm. It came down on me with such force I hit the floor hard. I didn’t move, I just wanted them to leave.
“Do that again and you’ll get something worse!” he picked up the paper bag he had been holding when he came in and whipped it at Ryan. Ryan blocked his face with his arms and the bag landed in his lap.
“You can eat that if you want,” he looked at Man Two. “We’ll be back, maybe.”
I was still lying face down on the floor, waiting for the sound of the door closing. When it finally closed Ryan crawled over to me, and I starting sitting up, wiping the few tears that had spilled away.
“Are you okay?” he said. He didn’t sound okay. “I’m sorry, the gun...”
I held up my hand. “It’s fine, better for me to take this than for you to take a bullet.” I took a shaky breath. “God, why does this have to happen to us?”
He put his hand on my back and we both moved back towards the wall, away from the paper bag.
I looked at it. “What’s in there?”
“I don’t know.”
I looked at Ryan and then crawled over to the paper bag. “He said we could eat it?”
“He said that. Doesn’t mean we’ll want to. People can eat just about anything.”
I picked up the bag and opened it slowly, just in case it was something disgusting. When I caught a glimpse of what was inside I sighed and opened it all the way.
“Nothing too gross,” I tipped the bag over and let the contents spill out.
Ryan looked at the floor. “Ah, dog food. They’re real nice.”
I snorted. “I bet they thought they were being all smart, playing off our name. I’ll starve for now.” I sat back down beside Ryan who put his arm around me. “Just so you know, in case we do die, I’m glad I married you.”
“I’m glad you said yes when I asked.”
I smiled. “But actually I said no first. Niki had to talk me into it.”
“Oh, right. Well we’re both happy now.”
“Well at this exact moment, no I wouldn’t say happy.”
“You know what I mean.”
...
I woke up a few hours later (at least it seemed like a few) with an extremely sore back. I was lying on the hard floor of the room, using Ryan’s arm as a pillow. He turned his head towards me when he felt me move around. I looked at him.
“You look extremely tired.”
“Thanks, glad you noticed. I couldn’t sleep, I didn’t want to sleep.”
“Why not? Not the most comfortable of places, but I fell asleep.”
“I wanted to make sure you were okay during the night... or day, or whatever it is.”
“Oh, thanks... if we’re here another night, it’s your turn to sleep.”
We were still lying on the floor, lost in our own thoughts when we heard the door to the room open. Neither of us looked up, not wanting the two men to do anything to harm either of us anymore.
“Look at you, Ryan; you’re a little different now aren’t you?” It was a woman’s voice. I looked at Ryan who was staring at the ceiling, eyebrows furrowed. Then he pushed himself up. I followed and found myself looking at a blonde woman with her hair up in a tight bun. It looked like it hurt. She was dressed nicely, and she looked really familiar.
Ryan sighed. “Erica, I had no idea you’d be capable of this. Or why you’d even want to do it.”
“Oh! You’re Erica Sykes? CBS 4 News? Wow... I got kidnapped by a news anchor,” I said. I felt better of the fact that it was a woman.
She gave me a sarcastic smile and looked back at Ryan. “Bet you wish you’d never left me now.”
Ryan rolled his eyes. “No, still very happy I made that decision.”
She looked mad. I looked down and noticed the gun in her right hand. Her other hand was on her hip. In the strange ways your mind works when you think you're going to die, I smiled and thought to myself 'she'd make a really good villain in a Batman movie if she was dressed in spandex and wore a mask'.
She lifted it and pointed it at Ryan. “I’ve wanted to do this for so long. You have no idea.”
He turned his head away and was staring at the floor, probably bracing himself.
Erica looked at me and smirked. “Right in front of your new wife, too. This is so heart wrenching.”
I was already silently crying, I'd forgotten my earlier Batman thought the minute she'd raised the gun. “Please whatever you have against Ryan don’t do this... We’re cops. You’ll get in a lot of trouble.”
She actually laughed, and then lowered the gun. “I won’t do it right this moment. But trust me. I will.” She turned stalked out the door. I grabbed Ryan around the neck and started sobbing.
...
It felt like another few hours later. We had hardly spoken since Erica had decided to come in. We were sitting against the wall opposite the door now; both of us pretty resigned to the fact that we were pretty much dead. And me to the fact I’d have to wait while she killed Ryan first.
“Hear that?” I said. The garage door again. “I just want you to know the best moments of my life were with you.”
Ryan nodded. “And mine with you.”
We were quiet for a few seconds, and then I heard something. “I heard yelling... more than a few people.” I sat up lightning fast. “I heard Kelly. That was Kelly’s voice.”
Ryan stood up and pulled me up by the hand. We stood listening hard. I gasped and grabbed Ryan by the arm. “I heard Horatio... I heard Horatio!”
“I heard it too...”
“Oh! We’re not going to die!”
Ryan looked at me before we both ran to the only door and started pounding on it.
Yay. Now it's... whoever's next turn!
