Well! I, for one, LOVE it when they focus more on the labtechs! Hodges and Wendy were great, whether they were in the lab, or in Hodge's fantasies.
The chemistry the two have is magnificent. But of course, Hodges always finds some way to tick her off. The message she translated at the end was adorable.
I actually liked the fantasies. Way more inventive than the one we saw in Flight Risk, CSI: Miami. And WOW, Wendy has ABS. I was impressed.
I still love how CSI is different from it's counterparts. While Miami focuses on the glitz, glam, and action, and New York focuses on odd crimes (they seem to have the oddest deaths) among other things, Vegas has, well, humour. Way more than it's siblings, to say the least.
In conclusion, I realize that we haven't come up with a pairing name for Wendy and Hodges. Wedges, maybe?
Great episode =)

Wedges is the shipper name for Hodges/Wendy. ;D I actually watched this episode and I loved it. I've always liked Hodges though so it was awesome that it was mainly focused on him and Wendy. I think in that one episode I've turned into a major Hodges/Wendy shipper. They were so cute together, Hodges fantasies were hilarious, and when she said "If you're having some sort of weird fantasy about me then... good." Aaaw. And when she translated the message. ^_^ I missed the first fifteen minutes of the episode so I wasn't exactly sure who had even died, but I liked the rest of the episode. I WISH Miami had team moments the way Las Vegas and New York do! When I see those scenes in the other two shows I actually feel sort of ripped off by Miami because we don't get those, ever. So I liked the ending when they were all going to watch the DVD together.

I wasn't sure if I was gonna watch the episode last night because I had about three hours of bio homework but I did and I'm sooo glad I did. It was so cute!! I loved all the little fantasies and how Astoro Quest was like a knock off of Star Trek. I was a tad disapointed about the lack of Greg but he's so underused that he could give Natalia a run for her money so it wasn't surprising.
The one thing that really bugs me about CSI right now is how Langston feels like more of a team leader than Catherine. He's supposed to be the newbie. That just drives me nuts. Oh and I loved the beginning with Hodges and Brass. It was funny and definetly something Hodges would do. I also sort of didn't like how Wendy translated the message.. Like how did she remember what he said? And what it translated to was a tad cheesy. But yeah I liked the episode. Oh and did any one else noticed that one of those guys who had the Astro Quest ship in their house was Mike Newton from Twilight? Cuz once he was in interrigation it was so obvious. I kinda found it a little funny.

I thought they did a great job spoofing Star Trek! I knew it was going to be good when Hodges said, "He's dead, Jim" with the perfect mix of knowing-but-not-knowing it was a classic quote -- after all, "AstroQuest" wouldn't have had that line in it. And the people who are behind the scenes must have had a ball, they got so many things right about what made the original Star Trek what it was! Those "AstroQuest" fantasy scenes that Hodges had about Wendy all referred to specific real scenes and actresses in ST. And the women's hair styles in particular -- perfect! Plot? Murder victim? Mystery? Who cared!?! (Naming it after a David Bowie song from that era was just gravy... )

Ohhh I didn't even notice that he was from Twilight...that's depressing.
But hey, detective Vega or whatever his name is was in Twilight too!
I've always loved the Wedges pairing. Too bad he always screws up! Like in "You Kill Me", he ended up throwing her off by making her game piece big chested.
It was so funny how Wendy said exactly the fantasy Hodges was having...it was priceless. Hodges looked absolutely freaked out!
Nick wasn't too nice to them at the beginning, though =/ Our lab techs need more loving. And yes, I wish there were more team moments like this in Miami and New York. New York needs more techs, and Miami needs to give Valera a storyline of some sort. She comes off as a funny person when she does have screen time!
I'm going through Greg withdrawals. He's hardly in it anymore! And yeah, I've noticed that Ray is more of the team leader now. Cath hasn't been having much screen time either, but I guess the next ep is mostly about her.
Eckley! Missed that guy! At least he was mentioned in this one! Well, he's in the next ep, so I guess we're good.

Sadly I went to sleep early (Mmmmmm. Happy pills!), but I watched some of the promos. And yeah, I have to agree with Mirium. The lines out of the old Star Trek cracked me up. This kinds of reminds me of "Fur and Loathing" (the animal suits). I understand they brought back a lot of cast from Battlestar Galactica and some other Sci-Fi shows. I bet they had a ball making this one. Funny you mentioned the team getting together and having fun. Over at the Talk CSI forum, we've been making suggestions for what we'd like to see the Miami team doing for fun. It seems like, for the most part, the Vegas team still gets together and has fun of some sort. Things have gotten WAY TOO SERIOUS in Miami the last couple of seasons and well, New York is New York. Although I love how Lindsay zinged Flack when they were taking out the fake woman in "Sex, Lies and Silicone". Love your new avatar, Babs!

It was so funny how Wendy said exactly the fantasy Hodges was having... Which suggests that she had been having the same fantasy..... I enjoy those two together, too. I suspect that one of the reasons Wendy hasn't jumped his bones yet is that she's trying to train him out of those faux pas (or at least decrease how often he makes him) before she's paired with him in people's minds. So people only come to her, say, once a day saying "could you talk to Hodges about what he just did?"

Thanks Liz, the lovely Luf made it for me =)
Oh god. I need to see the Miami team be a family again. Hey, whether it's a night at the bar, or a trip to the beach, we need the family! Horatio too. Maybe not on a beach though.

Horatio on the beach = serious sunburn -- it wouldn't just be his hair that's red! Although he must already be spending a bundle on sunscreen, living in Miami.
