I'm suddenly on crutches  and have discovered that it's not too hard to get from one place to another as long as it's flat ground, but the last six inches (into/out of a chair, in/out of bed, getting through a door) is almost always complicated. BTW, I'm hoping to have Michelle Obama Arms by the time I'm walking again.  |

Kelly Rippa arms are way better than Michelle Obama arms. Just sayin'.

Oh I know what it's like to be on crutches. I was legit amazing at getting around on them. I would swing around on them and everything!

Look at it this way -- when I thought I missed a step, I was RIGHT!  And I got to watch a truly entertaining video (details in Furrymom's thread; BTW, anyone can post on that thread, it's not a private conversation). Not to mention getting a day off work, and a perfect excuse to not do any chores; I spent the whole day goofing off.  |

Oh ouch Mirium. I always do that on stairs but luckily I haven't hurt anything too badly *knocks on wood*. I hope everything heals up fast. But if not you can guilt trip people at work into getting you coffee and stuff at least.

Sorry I've been so quiet the last few days -- everything takes more time than usual, and I've been pretty pooped after work, so I've been turning into an incoherent puddle as soon as I get home.  But nature is working its magic, and I should be back to normal -- well, okay, back to my usual self -- pretty soon. Most of my foot is fading to beige, although my toes have turned a vibrant purple -- think grape juice.  But I can put some weight on it without instantly wishing I hadn't, which is a relief! And it's a great excuse to not do any chores. I plan to hold on to that for as long as I can get away with it. |
