Hmm, I wonder if Horatio has asked Artie to stock a lot of fluffy towels? hey teach me how to do the quotes.......... H rules jeanne There's a "quote" button on each posted message, in the upper right corner (right next to "modify" and "delete"). If you click that instead of "reply", the whole post you want to quote will show up at the top of your reply -- you'll see a bunch of text that starts with [ quote] followed by some other stuff that tells the computers to put "so-and-so said..." and the date and time of their post. That stuff ends with "time=" and a bunch of numbers and ends with a "]". Then there's whatever the other person wrote, and their message ends with "[ /quote]". Type what you want to say after the "[ /quote]" (I've put a space after each "[" here so it will show up and not turn it into a quote box. ) If you only want to quote part of what the other person said, click the "quote" button and then delete the words in their message that you don't want to show. As long as the "[ quote]" and "[ /quote]" bits are still there, it should show up okay. You can see what it's going to look like before you post it by clicking the "Preview" button that's right next to the "Post Reply" button -- it will show your post the way it will look on the thread, and then below that will be the box you type in. If you want to change anything, change it in the box you type in, not the "how it will look" version. Then you can click on "Preview" again if you want to see how it looks after you changed it. When you've got it the way you want it, click "Post Reply" and it will be posted on the thread. Hope that helps! If it gives you trouble, let me know and we'll figure out how to fix it. Yeah, it does. ;D But in a good direction, and the threads always go back to topic when other people want them to, so don't fret about it.
