If we do have a chat room, we've got choices about where it would be: through Proboards, on Chatzy, or somewhere else. The poll will be open for 10 days, and you can retract your vote and vote again if you change your mind; the results are hidden for now so no one will be influenced by how others voted, but will be Revealed when the voting's over.
It's probably hard to decide if you like something you've never seen; I've set up the Proboards chat and a Chatzy room so everyone can try them both out.
You should be able to get to the Proboards chat by clicking Chat button on the menu at the top of the page (same section as Home/Help/Search/Members/etc.). I think you have to download a Java applet to use it; there should be directions on how and where to get it, when you go to the chat room. It's small (won't take up much space on your hard drive) and will NOT give you viruses or do anything else nasty to you. For those of you who are under the supervision of Parental Units, the applet is NOT another website or extra application program -- it's more like a little translator that explains to your Internet Browser how to show the chat room page on your screen. If any Parental Units have questions, they can e-mail me at miriumarbuckle@gmail.com and I'll be happy to give them more details. I'm also pretty sure there are a few bells and whistles I could add to it, once I figure out how -- so if there's anything that's missing that would affect your vote, let me know here and I'll see if I can add it.
