When someone comes up to me and goes "GUESS WHAT?" and then gets a text, takes their phone out, reads the text and says "I'll be right back, I told my friend I'd show her something" and leaves... and not because I wanted to know WHAT but because that's just rude.

I HATE it 3!!! Usually when people do that to me, I wait for them to come back and go GUESS WHAT?? Then I respond with a yeah I heard, I'm not impressed either! Look on someones face when they've been scorned- priceless!

I hate that too, luf. It's the same as walking up and saying, "you're not my friend, or if you are, you're way down the list." Anyone who does that to me has to wait a bit, next time they request my attention -- I like to make sure they're going to use it once they've got it.

*The Queen of Pet Peeves and Complaints*
1. People who scuff their feet 2. People who stand in the middle of a hallway in a big group 3. People who insist on talking to you about something which you've told them you don't care about beforehand 4. When you warn someone not to do it, and they do it anyway 5. When people say that you're ruining your teen years when you refuse to drink (Very, very angering. What's wrong with being sober?)
The list goes on!

How anybody could do this really has me scratching my head.
When we're in the ladies' room and someone wants to have a very profound or mentally challenging talk about work.
Recently I was in the ladies' room on my break, and someone wanted to talk to me about an Excel spreadsheet formula--something that required some gray matter. And would you know it, somebody was in the stall, and, well, I'll be polite and say that I'm not sure what they ate, but let's just say it was very hard for me to think and look professional without wrinkling my nose or gagging. I tried to tell her what else to do in the formula and the audit while thinking of something that would distract me from the, er, uh, air about the place.
When I got back to my cube, I just laughed.

Maybe she was trying to provide a distraction from the, err, uncomfortable atmosphere?

*snorts and laughs at Jaglady*
Doesn't beat last year
I was walking to my locker, and this guy and his girlfriend (grade 12s) walked out of the girl's bathroom, over to their friends...and their one friend was like "We could feel the vibrations from here!"
I was SO disturbed!
