Another chapter a few days after the latest update. Aren't you guys so lucky! But anyway, I feel like this chapter is missing something so it's not one of my favorites. But here it is anyway... Oh and Kelly write the detention scene so Thank youuu Kelly!! Oh I don't own the rights to any movies mentionedEnjoy!!
It was a warm April day for Miami. Spring break was only a week away. The kids were practically dying. But that wasn’t the reason Caitie was dying. She was on the hunt to find Niki. Niki was standing at her locker, her ear buds blasting music in her ears. Caitie walked up behind her and tapped Niki on her shoulder. She turned taking the ear bud out of her ear.
“Yes…?” She asked.
Caitie looked up and down the hallway, “I need to ask you about something.”
“Alright, but just hurry up. I have to go to detention.”
“Why?”
“Something about lack of respect or something. I told Nick to shove it, Taylor heard and shouts Ms Stokes you have detention with me after school!” Niki said, mimicking Mr. Taylor’s voice.
“Well, sucks to be you!” Caitie rolled her eyes, “But I need your help!”
“Okay just tell me already!”
“Okay so…” Caitie paused looking for the right words, “So how was your…first time?”
“My first time of what?” Niki asked.
Caitie glared at Niki, “You’re first time moron!”
“My first…” Finally it clicked, “It wasn’t anything special. It just kind of happened.”
“But how? Like I just wanna…”
Niki cut her off, “Well Danny and I had been dating for a while. We were making out then one thing lead to another then BOOM, next thing I know I’m doing the nasties with him.”
“But was it special? Like was it magical or anything?” Caitie asked.
Niki thought about it, “No, it wasn’t anything magical or special. Honestly, it was just… just two hormonal teenagers doing what hormonal teenagers do.”
A look of disappoint spread across Caitie’s face. Niki knew it was something she said. I really need to learn to think before I talk, Niki thought to herself.
“But,” She finally thought of something, “Maybe with you and Ryan, it’ll be special. Maybe even magical. It’s all about who the first time was with. I mean yeah I really liked Danny, but he was Danny. As long as you guys aren’t doing it just so at After Prom you guys don’t look like prudes.”
“No we aren’t. And oh yeah, that’s a little over a month away!” Caitie said with excitement.
Niki rolled her eyes, “Yeah it is. Who’s at your table?”
“Me, Ryan, Nick, Sarry, Warrick and his date, and a few other people. You?”
“Jake, Sierra, Flack, some of the hockey guys and their girls.
Basically a whole bunch of sluts.” Niki laughed.
“All minus Sierra.” Caitie joked.
Niki rolled her eyes, “Funny, but look I gotta go, Mr. Taylor will flip if I’m late for detention. Have fun doing the nasties!” Niki shouted down the hall.
“I hate you!” Caitie shouted after her.

“Hey Hawkes!” Greg shouted to him, “How’s it going?”
“Pretty good, you?” He asked.
At that moment Flack passed them in the hallway. He shot Greg a dirty look. Greg shook under his stare. Adam walked up behind
Hawkes and Greg, “That was scary.”
“I’ve been getting those all day,” Greg whined, “Why can’t he just leave me alone.”
They all began to walk down the hallway together, chatting about video games and Star Trek and what not. They walked passed Flack again, but this time he wasn’t alone. This time he was hitting on the new girl Jessica Angell.
“We should do something.” Adam whispered to the guys.
“No way!” Greg said, “Niki deserves this.”
Hawkes shook his head, “That’s cold Greg.”
“Yeah especially since you didn’t have the guts to actually ask Niki out until it was too late!” Adam added.
“Adam, shut up! I didn’t see you asking her out at all! And everyone knows you have the biggest crush on her!” Greg shot back.
Adam’s eyes narrowed, “We’re friends, and I’ve accept that’s all we’ll ever be. But I’m happy about that!”
Hawkes rolled his eyes, “Guys please, let’s not have this argument. Yes we know Niki hurt you Greg, but no girl deserves to have her boyfriend cheat on her.”
“Sheldon Hawkes, the voice of reason ladies and gentlemen” Adam joked. Greg and Hawkes joined in on the laughing and continued their trip down the hallway.

Niki walked into Mr. Taylor’s room with the same swagger she always had. Mr. Taylor looked up at her and groaned. The brunette shot him a cocky smile. Mac rolled his eyes and went back to grading his papers. Niki walked to the table behind the new kid. She already knew him through the play. He was her love interest.
He watched as the last of the detention party walked in late. It was odd considering that even Niki was there on time. And the new guy, who no one really knew the name of, was sitting in his chair, drumming to some unknown beat. “You’re late, Miss Higgins, which has been a bit of a habit for you.”
“Yeah, yeah,” she slumped in the chair next to Niki.
He eyed her carefully and abruptly stated, “Nu uh. You two are not sitting next to each other again.” The both of them looked at each other, smiling. Kelly got up and sat in the table ahead next to the new guy who had already introduced himself to Niki.
“Kelly Higgins,” she put her hand out.
“Tony DiNozzo,” he grinned a gorgeous smile as he shook her hand. She smiled and reluctantly took her hand away. “What’re you in for?”
“Tar-, I started a fight.”
Niki scoffed. What a lame story. Kelly starting a fight? Like that would ever happen. So she spoke up. “Yeah, who was the fight between? The Care Bears? She’s in for being late to class, and do you want to know why she was?”
“Sure, why not,” Tony mumbled as he started clock watching. He was missing play practice for this. Kelly shot Niki a look, who deflected it with one of her own.
“Obviously, because she’s in love with Maca laca alpaca over here,” Niki grinned evilly. Kelly simmered and turned as red as a beet. Mr. Taylor was used to these antics and had submersed himself in grading papers for his Physics class.
“Am not!” Kelly whined as she looked between Niki and Mr. Taylor. Tony laughed at the two of them.
He grinned as he thought of something. “So why don’t you go make your move?”
Niki shot a look at Kelly as she said, “It’s her third set of detentions with him. She’s too chicken.”
“Third set for just being tardy? You don’t go back for seconds let alone thirds,” he told the youngest of them all as he leaned back in his chair, propping his feet on the table in front of him.
“Star Trek!” Kelly stood up, immediately recognizing the reference. “When Kirk was going back to take Spock’s test, McCoy told him that. Good movie. Better movie would actually be three. The Lord of the Rings trilogy. Viggo Mortenson.”
“He was in that movie Hidalgo. Not a bad story, but a suckish movie. Better horse movie. Seabiscuit.”
“Agreed. Best cop movie. I don’t have one.”
“Con Air,” he said matter-of-factly.
“That’s not a cop movie. That’s a movie about cons escaping on an airplane. It had Nicholas Cage in it.”
“It had cops in it!”
Niki had had enough of all this annoying movie talk. “Can you two stop it?!”
“No,” they both managed to say at the same time. Tony stayed silent for a minute, thinking about movies. Kelly did the same.
“At least you two are quiet,” Niki looked around, realizing that
Mr. Taylor had left the room. He’s probably annoyed with all their arguing, she thought.
“National Treasure. It’s my favorite movie of like all time. Except for Gattaca,” Kelly told him after a while.
Tony frowned. “What’s Gattaca?”
“It’s this story about in the future how everyone is genetically chosen from conception to have all these advantages. The main guy wasn’t conceived that way, but he wants to fly to Saturn one day. No one let’s these ‘invalids’, as they’re called, have jobs. He takes on someone else’s identity, and he fools the people into getting the job. It’s a week before he goes up and the one person close enough to finding out his true identity is murdered, and they find his hair at the crime scene. It’s a really good movie.”
“I’ll have to see it,” he said after some thought.
She grinned. “How about my place on Saturday? I have all the movies mentioned. We could watch all those movies then go to the theater and see Star Trek.”
“I’m game for that. But won’t your parents mind? I mean you and me just there alone watching movies,” he laughed at the thought.
She glared. “I live with my aunt. My parents are on business.
And it’s not a date. I have a boyfriend.”
Tony relented after a while. “Fine, I’ll be there.”
Niki propped her feet on the table in front of her. “I’m bored. What should we do? Mac’s probably hitting on Ms. Bonasera, and I want to do something.”
“We could talk, text, start a fight, umm…” Kelly trailed off.
“I like that third one. Let’s wait till Mac comes back.”
“Why do you call him that?”
“’Cause he doesn’t earn the right to be called Mister.”
Kelly sighed and waited. A few minutes later they heard two voices in the hallway getting nearer. Niki grinned. It was Mr. Taylor and Ms. Bonasera. She signaled Kelly when she knew they were in ear shot.
Standing up quickly, Niki yelled, “Who are you to tell me who I can and can’t date? Is it because of all your successful relationships?”
Kelly took the cue and got up, having to think of a comeback quickly. “Maybe because you’re boyfriend is a no good, low life son of a gun! And maybe because he’s using you!” Tony grinned at all this even though he knew they were not serious.
“You have no right to talk about my boyfriend like that!”
“I’ll talk about what I want however I want to!”
Both teachers ran into the room at the sound of the raised voices. Just in time actually. Kelly shoved Niki who theatrically fell against a table.
“Hey! Cut it out! You know I have a bad back!” Niki shouted in her ‘rage’.
“Yeah, from all the time you spend on it!” Kelly yelled back, trying her best to look angry.
“Man,” Tony mumbled to himself, “I want her number.” Tony gave Niki a wicked grin.
Niki walked over to Kelly and ‘slapped’ her as hard as she could. It was a good thing that she was in the play because that would’ve killed had Kelly actually been slapped. Kelly, in a look of pain that would’ve coincided being slapped, was about to ‘slap’ Niki back but was stopped by Mr. Taylor standing in between them. He put his hands on their shoulders and yanked both of them back.
Talk about whiplash. Both rubbed their necks.
He let go, telling them in his Marine way, “As you were.”
Kelly rolled her eyes and said in a really snooty voice, “As you were.” Did I just say that out loud, she thought frantically. She gulped and hid her insecurity on the matter.
“Excuse me?” He glared at her.
“I’m with her, Mr. Taylor; you shouldn’t have stopped that fight.
It was hot,” Tony squeaked. Ms. Bonasera took Mac’s job and gave the young man a look.
“Yeah, you heard me. This whole system is whack. It’s so messed up. You do something, and it causes you to go psycho. Then boom you’re living with your aunt because your parents are doing 25 to life,” Kelly started rambling.
Mr. Taylor and Ms. Bonasera looked at each other. Tony and Niki did the same. What was she talking about?
“I don’t know what you’re talking about, and I don’t care either, but what gives you the right to talk like that?” Mr. Taylor started sternly. “I have a feeling that I will be seeing you the next few weeks in detention.”
“That’s totally unfair! You can’t d-“
“Stop,” he interrupted Kelly. “Just don’t!”
“Bu-“
“No, Miss Higgins. Just stop. You- actually all of you,” he faced the others, “need to learn that your actions have consequences.”
“But detention with you is not punishment for her,” Niki laughed. Kelly glared and lunged at her best friend only to be stopped by another whiplash. Niki laughed at her again.
“Now, sit down! Both of you! And if I hear one more word from any of you, it’ll be more two weeks of detention!” Both girls were visibly shaking. They had never seen him so mad before. They did as they were told and did not say another word until detention was over.
“I want to talk to the two of you,” Mr. Taylor looked up from what he was doing at the two girls. They sat down again at a table. He sat on the edge of his desk. Niki noticed Kelly slightly swoon as she was very attracted to Mr. Taylor (as weird as that was) when he was angry.
“What do you want?” Niki slumped down in her chair.
“I don’t know what possessed you two to fight. You two are quite the duo,” he watched as the two of them grin. “That’s nothing to be proud of either. You two have started a riot and now started a fight. I should talk to your parents.”
“They really won’t care,” Kelly told him, rolling her eyes.
“I know. I said I should. I expect to see you two the next two weeks in here.”
“You’re not going to tell our parents about this fight?” Niki asked, knowing about the school’s policy on fights.
“Not this time. Two weeks. Now leave my room.” They didn’t need to be told twice. The two of them got out of that room as quickly as possible as Ms. Bonasera came in. Niki stopped and signaled Kelly to wait.
“Come on. Listen,” she mouthed to Kelly.
“Eww, that’s gross,” she replied silently.
Niki rolled her eyes and mouthed, “Think of all the dirt we could get on him.”
They crept to the opening of the door and listened.
“I hate doing these detentions. The two of them are going to be the death of me,” Mac told her.
“I doubt they were fighting. They just seem like too good of friends.”
“It’s not that. The two of them just irritate me. I pity their parents.”
“Well, you’re changing the world one student at a time.”
“It doesn’t seem like it, Stell.” He hadn't caught her sarcasm.
She sighed loudly. “Mac, they seem like nice girls in my class.” He scoffed at that comment.
“They’re trouble. That’s all they are.”
“I think that comment Niki made bugged you. I think the crush is cute, Mac.” The two girls peered in to see Ms. Bonasera put her hand on Mr. Taylor’s cheek. Kelly and Niki made gagging faces to each other at this.
“It’s not. Both are trouble. They’re bad influences on the rest of the student body. And I don’t think I can stand the next two weeks. One is bad enough, but together they’re unbearable.”
“Well, I’m sure you’ll find a way to bear it.”
Kelly and Niki weren’t sure what happened next because Niki’s phone started blaring out some ringtone that Flack had assigned. She dropped it in surprise. Both girls dove for it, fumbling facedown for the phone so the two teachers in the other room wouldn’t hear it. When both of them looked up, they saw a very angry Mr. Taylor staring down at both of them.
Niki gulped nervously. “So that will be three weeks of detention, won’t it?”
…………………………………………………………………………………………………
There was a knock on the Stokes’ door and Niki made her way to the door and opened it to see Don Flack, standing there smiling down at her.
“A little birdie told me that, you’re siblings are out and your parents too. Making you home alone, and quite possibly very lonely.” Flack said with a smirk.
“Well,” Niki’s eyes light up, “I’m not. I’m watching SNL so nighty night!” Niki slammed the door in Flack’s face, but he stopped the door with his foot. Niki skipped to the couch knowing Flack would follow her inside. She sat on the couch and he sat next to her.
He wrapped his arm around her shoulders, “But its Friday. Saturday Night Live is on, on Saturdays.”
“I recorded this one!” She smiled.
Flack raised an eyebrow, “Then can’t you watch it later?”
“No!” She spat, “It’s the one with JT as the host and Mother Lover is about to come on!”
“Mother Lover?”
Niki gasped and stood up from the couch, “You don’t know
Mother Lover?!?”
“No, I don’t.”
“How can you not know it!” Niki shouted, and then she started to sing with the skit, “Oh dang. What is it dawg? I forgot its Mother’s Day. Didn’t get a gift for her? Other plans got in the way. She’ll be so disappointed. Damn I forgot it too! This could have been avoided. What the hell are we gonna do?”
Niki then paused the skit. Flack’s face was utter confusion.
“What the hell is wrong with those guys?” He asked.
“Are you kidding me?!?” Niki’s voice rang through the house, “Andy Samberg is a comedic God! Like have you ever heard I’m On a Boat?”
Flack shook his head, so Niki began to sing, “I’m on a boat and it’s going fast and I got a nautical themed, Pashmina Afghan. I’m the king of the world, on a boat like Leo. If you’re on the shore, then you sure not me, oh! Get the f up, this boat is real!”
Flack shook his head again, “Doesn’t ring a bell.”
Niki’s eyes grew wider, “Not even Like a boss?” Niki began to sing, “Talk to corporate! Like a boss! Approve memos! Like a boss! Remember birthdays! Like a boss!”
Again Flack shook his head. He never heard that one before either.
“What is wrong with you?!?” Niki shouted, “What about In My Pants?”
Flack gave her a strange look and once again Niki was singing, “Every time you’re next to me. And when we’re holding hands, its like having sex with me. You say I’m premature, but I just call it ecstasy…”
“I wear a rubber at all times it’s a necessity.” Flack finished.
“Oh Yay!” Niki jumped, “You actually knew a song!”
“Yeah, Jake showed me that one.” He smiled pulling Niki back on the couch. She grabbed the remote and played back Mother Lover.
“Why are we watching this again?” Flack asked.
Niki smiled at him, “Because I’m in love with Andy Samberg!”
Flack gave her a look and pinned her to the couch. Niki began to laugh at the look Flack was giving her.
“Awe Donnie is jealous!” She sang, “How cute!”
He rolled his eyes at her and then covered his lips with hers.
They stayed like that for a good part of the night.
…………………………………………………………………………………………………….
Tonight was the night. Tonight was the night Ryan and Caitie would do it. Ryan’s parents were out of town for a few days and Adri had gone over to Sierra’s. He had the whole evening planned out. He somehow managed to cook a romantic dinner of Chicken Alfredo and a baked potato. He had light massive amounts of candles and had them spread out throughout the room.
Once Caitie had arrived they sat down for dinner and talked as if nothing big was planned for ‘dessert’. Dinner was drawing to a close, when the nerves started to rattle Ryan. He had never done this before. What if he wasn’t good enough? His head was racing and his hands were shaking. He reached across the table to get something when he knocked a candle over.
It tumbled to the ground, but the flames had jumped on to the table cloth. It danced its way up and both teenagers jumped away from the table.
“Ryan! Ryan! Do something!” Caitie was shouting.
Ryan froze to the floor. He wasn’t too sure what to do. Yeah he was a smart kid, but at this moment it was like he never had a brain to begin with.
“Ryan!” Caitie disrupted Ryan’s thoughts, “Poor some freakin’ water on it you moron!”
Of course! Ryan ran to the sink and pulled the faucet so he could reach the table. He turned the water on full blast and drenched the fire. It slowly but surely danced away, leaving the table cloth burnt and almost unrecognizable. He’s parents were going to kill him.
Caitie practically mugged Ryan and mumbled into his hair how he was her hero and such. He cupped her face in his hands and their eyes met. It was such an intimate stare, such an intimate moment that if anyone had walked back they would have felt like they were intruding. Their lips met and things heated from there.
Their want for each other burned like the fire had just been.
Their lips parted and their eyes met again.
“I think we should take this upstairs.” Caitie said darkly.
Ryan nodded obediently and led her upstairs.
………………………………………………………………………………………………….
The sun streamed in through the windows. Ryan had forgotten to close them the night before. Well he just didn’t have the time. Caitie was lying sleepily in his arms. The sun fell in her eyes and she stirred, walking up to Ryan smiling at her.
“Good morning sleepy head.” He said.
Caitie yawned, “Yeah, yeah. So about last night…”
“I’m glad it happened,” He kissed her on the forehead, “And we don’t have to do it every time we see each other. Only if you want to.”
“I love you Ryan Wolfe.” Caitie smiled, falling back asleep.
Ryan grinned broadly, “I love you too.”
Gaaaaah one of the cheesiest endings I've ever writtern...Or copied. Kind of. But anywaaay oh and I don't own anything writtern by Andy Samberg... but I would love a night with him... Hope you like ittt!!
It was a warm April day for Miami. Spring break was only a week away. The kids were practically dying. But that wasn’t the reason Caitie was dying. She was on the hunt to find Niki.
