Spike TV is having a CSI marathon, and I just happened to catch the first half of the pilot today.
All I can say is WOW!! Everybody looks so young! Warrick's and Catherine's hair are so short. Lindsay's a little girl in a car seat! And was that acne on little Greggo's face??
Just sort of makes you wonder where the time has gone.
As expected, everybody's beating up on the newbies.
I wonder whether they ever expected the show to do what it did and blossom out into two other series.
Your thoughts?

I loved this program from the start. It's the only program I've looked at consistently over the years, even more than Miami. I watch the DVD's frequently. I still love the program and look forward to see how it will fare with cast changes. Everyone does look really young.Greg is now all grown up,Catherine looks really different, and Lindsey will be heading off to college soon. I didn't really think about how long the show would last when it started, but I'm happy it's still around.

I've been watching some of the Spike marathon too, and you're right -- wow, do they look young! Of course, I looked younger 10 years ago too.... ;D I didn't start watching CSI:LV until recently (last two seasons), so the early episodes are all new to me, and I hope Spike and A&E keep showing repeats until I catch up! The episode I saw today was interesting for the different relationships they had back then -- one of the cases was about a woman who turned out to have died while in a boat in the middle of a lake (I don't want to spoil it too much for anyone who hasn't seen it), and Grissom and Catherine hadn't learned to trust each other yet. She let the victim's husband learn that the victim had been having an affair, and Grissom ripped her a new one for that; the husband acted on that information, with unfortunate consequences. That was particularly interesting to me because on CSIM, Natalia made a similar mistake with similar results. So now I have two questions -- has anyone on CSI:NY done the same thing? And, was Catherine a relative newbie in Season 1 of CSI:LV, or was she experienced and just goofed?

i didn't see the Vegas pilot, but last night I watch watching the Miami pilot on DVD. Everyone there looks so young.
I doubt that when CSI:LV started that anyone realized how big it would become. yet here we are, 10 years and two spin-offs later, and the CSI franchise is HUGE.

I now have all seasons of all three shows on DVD. I watch them all when I get a chance. I've been working a lot lately though. Joe laughs at me for watching them so much. I told him I didn't buy them to sit on a shelf. :pillowfight:

Hubby and I watched the Vegas/Miami crossover. Anybody remember the scene in which Horatio makes his debut? He just sort of looks around and puts on the sunnies (a shadow of things to come, of course)? As Horatio was looking around, Hubby said to the screen, "Come on, H. Come on. Do it! Do it!" Then he puts on the sunglasses, and Hubby said "There ya go!"

Catherine was experienced and just goofed. She let her emotions get in the way . Thanks! I caught part of the CSI:NY marathon, and saw Horatio's debut too -- that was the episode where he got the Mysterious Subpoena. I noticed that his line about getting it delayed sounded like they just let him deal with it after the case was closed, not a delay of months or years. This is kind of a wild guess, but I'm guessing he was subpoenaed to be deposed (have to testify in a deposition) -- those are easy to reschedule, and if it was just a deposition, that would also make it reasonable that we haven't heard about it again. If Horatio was just a witness, not a defendant, they might not need him for the trial, especially if it was a civil (non-criminal) case. Plenty of potential for it to pop up again someday, of course....

"I'm a Big Kid Now!"
To say the least!
I miss my Greggo! Sticking markers up his nose, dancing around the lab in evidence, and putting gloves over his head! I wish he had more of his...immaturity still in him! Well, he does, just not as much!
Am I the only one that thinks that Lindsey's actresses are really inconsistant? Well, one was at least...the one from the episode with Novak.
