Wasn't Eric in the hospital a lot longer than Calleigh was? I mean, it would be a lot more reasonable for the whole team to be able to visit over a period of days/weeks than hours/days. I vaguely remember some line about how they had to get Calleigh's lung function back to normal within X hours or she'd be a goner. Let's hope that Ryan joshing Calleigh at the start of the show was a trend -- they put it in for E/C purposes, but will start putting in more general friendly conversations! Ryan might have gotten tested for AIDs off camera, so to speak -- and maybe we'll see him fretting about it later. The show does have a history of planting seeds of future problems, sometimes the problems show up later, sometimes they mysteriously evaporate.. I'm sure Eric was in the hospital longer overall, but I'm pretty sure they showed everyone visiting and solving the shooting in a shortime frame like always. Ryan was on the phone with Eric, that would have been an opportunity to ask about Calleigh. You are right about the planting of seeds. The first thing I thought was,"I hope that doesn't come back to haunt Ryan later". In earlier episodes,Ryan and Calleigh were more friendly toward each other so it was good to see it again even if it was a setup for E/C. I'm hoping the hype is over soon and we won't need stories or plots for the sake of E/C, but just for the story itself,if that makes sense.

It wasn't like the whole story revolved around EC. I'm sure that even if there wasn't going to be any EC in this episode the exact same things would have happened, except Eric wouldn't have been saying things like that near the end. I still think they would have had the same Cal/Ryan conversation in the beginning, but without Ryan asking about them.

It wasn't like the whole story revolved around EC. True, but it also wasn't said that the story revolved around E/C,only some things took place because of E/C.

The screen time was mostly about the crime, but the discussion does seem to be mostly about E/C. :pillowfight: At least so far...
That whole Illegal Organ Transplants thing was okay, but I'm hoping they also give us some plain old boring murders this season. Having a sensational issue-based crime once in a while is cool, but not every other week -- it loses its sensational punch if they do it too often, IMO.
Gotta wonder a bit about the "victims"/patients -- sure, they're in a life-and-death situation, but so is everyone on the transplant list. What gives them the right to jump the queue? And since anyone who's willing to perform the operation or donate the organ has to be a bit hinky to start with (otherwise they wouldn't be doing illegal organ transplants), it's not a big surprise that the medical care isn't up to snuff.
