This might actually be the most useless thread ever, but I really do want to know. Which side do you hang your toilet paper from, and if it's on the wrong way do you switch it? This is what I mean. Over the front:  Behind the back:  I have to put mine over the front. For some reason my dad and brother always put it behind. Whenever I'm in the bathroom and it's the wrong way, I change it. Discuss! (Feel free to discuss what your toilet paper brand is, where it's located on the wall, etc., etc.) ;D P.S. This thread is completely serious.  |

Haha this is an awesome thread XD. I put my toilet paper over the front. It drives me up the wall when it comes from behind the back. I never really thought of how much it drove me up the wall til you started this thread  . We use Charmin Ultrasoft  |

I hang my toilet paper behind the back.
I live alone now so it's always correct for me.
When I lived with the ex,I changed it to the correct position all the time.
You probably can't get a visual,but I live in an old 1930's home.
The bathroom is so tiny that the toilet paper dispenser works better for me with the paper hanging from behind because it is so close to the toilet.It's a good that I was already in the habit of hanging the paper from behind.
I like Scott because some of the others are too soft and they leave little fuzzies behind.

Definitely to the back. Easier to grab onto at 3 a.m. when I'm half asleep. We have to be careful not to let it dangle too close to the floor because the cat thinks it makes a dandy toy. She snagged her claw in that thing once, and our bathroom looked like a frat house on Halloween.
We use whatever brand is on sale (usually Sam's Club). The exception to that is the el-cheapo one-ply. If you've ever eaten a deli sandwich with red onions or lots of chili, you'd know why.
Hey, it wouldn't surprise me a bit if there's a government study on this somewhere.

Ours is usually hung sort of half off the thing or it's sitting on the floor. The holder is kind of broken and my dad hasn't fixed it yet. And I think we usually use whatevers available. Except Charmin. Because as I learned in Gr 6 it's the least biodegradable. The no-name brands are the best. Feel free to ask why I know this xD

We usually just buy what's cheapest too. Sometimes we sit ours roll on top of the holder, because we're too lazy to put it on. xD
I hate when you go to someone's house and need to use their bathroom, and their toilet paper is soooo far away from the toilet that you have to reaaaach. Why can't they put it where it's easy... It's even worse when it's gone and you dunno where they keep it.

Ah yes. On TOP of the dispenser! Done that a few times.
Or, when the roll suddenly runs out when somebody in the house has a, uh, emergency. I'm not fond of having to reeeeaaaach and unwrap another roll when I'm on the throne and half asleep at 3 a.m.
Although I've been to some of these houses where the toilet paper roll is on one of these fancy-schmancy dispensers. One time I yanked really hard and the cute dispenser just disintegrated, and toilet paper went everywhere. Just a LITTLE embarrassing.

One time what happened to me early early in the morning, we have this cabinet type thing by our toilet and Jay put the toilet paper roll on there. Well I grabbed the roll and had a hold on the end but the other end went rolling all the way across the bathroom. Everytime I pulled on it to get it closer, it would just roll farther XD.

I hate when that happens, Katie! Argh! It's just not right, it just has to roll farther everytime you pull it closer.
My Nannie's dog and cat are like a toilet-paper-mess-makers team. The cat will pull the stuff down onto the floor so the dog can reach it, and then he'll grab it and run around with it, or tear it all up in the bathroom. Hehehe.

I prefer it to hang from the front *that's what she said* (saving y'all the trouble), because it's easier to get hold of it *that's what she said* (ditto), but if someone exercises different preferences in their own home, I adapt to the situation.
