Not as pervy as it sounds. 
For those of you outside the U.S., or in the U.S. but Leno fans, David Letterman is a late night talk show host. At one point, he asked the fellows, "You don't even know who I am, do you?" They didn't say so, but it appeared that the answer was "no, we don't." 
It's under "Dave TV", the "Jonas Brothers and That Old Dude" segment.
