Yep, I'm sure all of you know who my favorite character is on Miami. Good old Rick Stetler, the guy everybody loves to hate.
One thing amazes me. I'm seeing a lot of people who really hated him and now want him back now that he's been mysteriously absent.
Personally I wonder what kind of a history he and H have had in the past. He made his grand entrance in the first epi of S2, "Blood Brothers" when he said to H "Do you think your sister-in-law is ready?" Though he wasn't in S1 at all, I think there's more to their history than just the promotion to Lieutenant.
I've also noticed that, over time, he went from fairly nice ties to those loud, obnoxious ties. Not sure if that's supposed to be part of his character evolving or if the wardrobe department was smoking something.
I've said this before, and I'll say it again. The Horatio/Stetler headbutting is something I sorely miss. It added a dimension of the show that was pretty interesting, if not downright funny at times.
Just a personal thing--I think that he and Jake Berkeley are the two most complex and intriguing characters. Some say he's just a criminal with a badge, while others say he's just flawed.
