Nice to know I've done something right. ;D I keep meeting people in "real life" and wondering if they're actually werewolves or vampires etc., because they behave just like the ones in Discworld.

The Discworld actually Rocks, I'm so glad they decided to make some into motion pictures. I heard they are doing 'Going Postal' I wish they'd do them in order.... Sarry xx

Hard to imagine who they could cast that would do the characters justice -- I mean, what mere mortal could capture Sam Vimes?
Any nominations?

Did you know they have already done 'Hogfather' with David Jason as 'Albert'. What was really weird, was after that they made 'The Colour Of Magic' but it was in two parts, and the second part was actually 'The Light Fantastic'. David Jason was cast as Rincewind. Sean Astin was (an amazing) Twoflower, and The Luggage (one of my fave 'characters' ever) was portrayed EXCELLENTLY!! Sarry xx

I assume the Luggage was CGI? (Can't imagine any way for a human to take that role. ;D ) Okay, now I want to see it -- just so I can see the Luggage. It's one of my favorite characters too. Sean Astin as Twoflowers fits too, he's a great actor (as are his parents). I'm not familiar with David Jason, will have to check him out when I have time.
And it's somehow symbolic of Discworld, that a piece of furniture (sort of) has a vivid personality.

David Jason is really famous over here. He was Del Boy in a popular comedy series called 'Only Fools And Horses'. More recently he's been Det. Inspector (I think) Frost in the show 'Frost' which is also amazing, and he's a totally different character than Del Boy. He's also been in something called Diamond Geezer, which is once again, totally different. He's very versatile.

UserFriendly had something to say about Terry Prachett's upcoming Knighthood: www.userfriendly.org/ (it's the cartoon for January 4, 2008, in case it shifts)
