(jury consultant for mobsters goes missing) One of their better efforts -- as usual, no one was totally bad or totally good, and the twist at the end should make things interesting for the rest of the season! Was Martin's about-to-be-new-flame just making the best of a bad situation, or was she happy to be in that situation? Either way, she's a tougher cookie than he thinks... I thought they did a decent job of showing the dilemma of people who represent mobsters and other despicable types in court, although I'm a bit biased. Sure, some of them are just as sleazy as their clients; but many are even more idealistic than average, trying to make sure that even individuals who aren't admirable get a fair shake in court, and dealing with the extra complications that creates (such as having to be very careful what you tell your client, in case the info gets misused). And it looks like they weren't kidding when they said Jack's shrink was one of the best -- he's working hard at Playing Nice, but he hasn't lost his ability to turn a phrase. "So, would you call this more or less awkward than the last time...?" to Sam's baby daddy. It's great to see him getting his sense of humor back without losing the cynicism I love.
