(episode where Abby gets borrowed to fill in for a missing scientist)
Is it just me, or are Abby and Ducky getting more of the spotlight lately? This isn't a complaint at all, I love it! But it seems like we're seeing more of Abby's mind-games-with-herself, even when the episode isn't focused on her. Things like her little lecture on oral hygiene -- she looks so "out there," but she seems to live a more virtuous life than most people I know.
Laughed at the reaction from the Jones guy (the one who "borrowed" Abby) when he first met her -- and the way he recovered so quickly. Maybe he was used to Dr. Heller being a bit, err, unusual (after all, Heller called his lab "the Cave") -- one thing I like about NCIS is that the really good people are all eccentric and do quirky things to amuse themselves on a daily basis. It fits better with what I've seen in RL than the usual stolid way most shows portray scientists and such.
The foaming gel was funny, although I'm surprised that McGee didn't spot the chemical reaction coming -- I'm guessing it was probably massive gas generation (since it looked so foamy), or maybe lots of polymerization, both of which are usually pretty predictable. Ah, well, it's fiction. And the visual was well worth bending truth a little. And good old Abby's smarts showed again, she made them ALL clean it up...and didn't get crabby about it.
DiNozzo missed an obvious movie reference, wonder if it was in the original script and got edited for time? You'd think he'd at least have time to put on a Scottish accent and annoy Ducky!
