(professional blogger reports on politician's evildoings, then goes missing)
I thought this was one of their best episodes -- lots of twists as they learned more about Molly, the missing person (is she a shallow irresponsible jerk? a victim of evildoers? a good person having a meltdown?), an interesting missing person who came across as a real person, not just a Standard Type (they've been doing a lot of those lately), and relationships between the missing person and other people where you could see how they've been misunderstanding each other but in a way that actually happens, not just in scripts. Gotta wonder what Molly's going to do with her life now.
And lots of quiet relationship stuff, with the ones in Molly's life echoing what's going on with the team. Like the way Molly and her sister were stuck in their roles, Molly being the strong one who helped everyone else and her sister being the one who flailed about and struggled to success, with Molly's help -- and now that's going to be reversed. Followed by Jack reprimanding Martin for going with his gut and breaking rules bigtime -- I was when Jack gave Martin almost exactly the same speech, word for word, that Jack received after he went off the rails last season. That could NOT have been a coincidence, but I wonder if Jack realized he was doing it?
And, of course, things are looking dangerous in Sam-and-Jack Land... Only this time, it's Sam who's ignoring her partner because she's too busy, just like Jack did to his wife before the divorce....
Dang, I love this show.
