(grenades go BOOM in a restaurant) I hate to be a party pooper, but this episode really annoyed me. I know CSIM has more fantasy in it than LV and NY, but they shouldn't ignore how people really behave just to get gratuitous scenes that push our buttons. Such as: Horatio carrying a bleeding woman out of the wreckage. Not only were there plenty of emergency responders there, if she had a spinal injury, he just paralyzed her for life. Eric improvising and using a taser as a power source instead of one of them going back to the lab and getting a new one. Non-standard procedure, the defense attorney is going to have a field day with it in court! Frank goes after a suspected bomber all by himself, no backup? Maybe they should spend less money on technology and hire enough cops so their people aren't put in danger like that. Horatio standing on the balcony while Eric confronts the guy; other than putting him in a dramatic position for the camera and letting him say "I'll be right down," what was he doing up there in the first place? The social workers take away those two kids from their mom because they were left alone -- they didn't take a moment to ask the kids, "Is anyone watching you?" The girl was old enough to be able to say "she was here tucking us into bed just a minute ago." And although it didn't result in any gratuitous button-pushing scenes, since when does anyone who's 10 feet away from an exploding grenade survive? The evil son should have been in the morgue with the others. I did like Ryan's scenes when he was dealing with Tara, and it was nice to see Frank and the lab rats. But I'm still bugged.

I'm pretty sure the woman who had a spinal injury was the mother of the family and the girl he carried out was the waitress.
I'm gonna focus on the good instead of bad things. My thoughts are all over the place and not in order at all and there may be some rambling. Anyways I give it like an 8.5 out of 10. Kept me excited most of the time.
- I loved how Frank was the first team member we saw.
- When Eric threw the measuring tape to Horatio, that was pro man.
- Zomg, the morgue is not a safe place. But I was slightly turned on by how concerned Ryan was for Kyle. And Tara! Dumb, dumb Tara you're stressing poor Ryan out!
- I loved the whole scene with Tara and Ryan. He didn't seem concerned that he had to keep it quiet as much as he seemed concerned for her, even if she was pretty rude (but she's just been like that since people have been accusing her of taking pills.)
- Was Ryan hyper during the scene with Eric or was that just me? Maybe he was just still shaken up from the grenade and finding out about Tara's little problem. Anyways I loved the tazer thing, that was cool.
- I had no idea the guy who was photographing the CSI's for the Russians was going to be involved. And now he's dead? Wonder if that'll come up in the next episode involving them.
- Frank and getting shot at! That scared me, my mom, and my cat! But whoa, anger issues much?
So yea, I liked it. The CBS promo for next week sure tried hard to make it look like Ryan gets shot. But I guess it was for both of the next episodes? The one I saw was different. *shrug*

Ok I liked the tazer thing cuz it reminded me of early CSI LV where they did everything old school. I thought it was weird that the kid and mom survived but I guess since the grenade when off near the base of the table it could have blown the table on top of them and saved them. I'm sure weirder things have happened.
I was a little ticked Ryan didn't make any refrences to his gambling problem when he talkd to Tara and then I started to wonder if when she gets sober if he'll be her sponsor. Cuz I think that would be cool. Oh and was it just me or was Frank like really PMS-y? I mean he overreacted a teeny bit with the kid who shot at him dontcha think?
I thought Calleigh's reaction to the whole explosion thing was really genuine like it had shocked her a lot. It kind of bugs me how the CSI's never really react like that any more so it was nice to see that. Oh and the ending with H and the little girl was so adorable. I liked the sort of Superman refrence.

I thought it was pretty good; it was nice seeing H run in and saving people again. As well as socializing with the kids, though the ending scene creeped the hell out of me! His voice was...creepy...not child friendly.
Loved:
-Frank...I was almost scared that something would happen to him at the beginning, or that his car would get blown up again, because they showed him first.
-Ryan giving Tara another chance. Good boy =) And his scene with Kyle was cute, how he was telling Kyle that it wasn't his fault
-And yes, that measuring tape throw from Eric to H was AMAZING.
-Cal wore something with colour!
-Ryan's shirts just keep getting tighter, and tighter, and tighter....
-We got to see Nat again!
-I'm glad that the son had some part to do with it. I thought it'd be too much to actually have him be the grenade thrower or whatever.
-I was happy that the waitress got her kids back =)
-Also glad that the restaurant manager was a slimy as he appeared to be
Didn't Like:
-Was Frank trying to get himself killed, or what?
-H was brilliant. "Hey, I'll just send my guy down there, but I'll stand up here so I look smart, because I can shoot the guy from here, and then I'll just go back down the stairs anyway". *sarcasm*
-The excuse of Ryan dropping the whatevermajing was lame. Would've been better if they had left it at the lab, or if it was out of battery power or something.
-H talked in a creepy voice to the kids at the end. Very, very, very creepy. My mom said that no kid in their right mind who run up to him with a smile. She said they'd run in the opposite direction.
-Throwing in the Russian Photographer guy was just a way to tie up a loose end. Nothing more. At least he's dead.
Next week's ep looks good! It really does look like Tara shoots RyRy. Maybe she's leaving? Probably not.

Now we just need the whole shirt OFF. And I think it's good that they tied up that loose end. It seems everyone is constantly complaining about how Miami always LEAVES loose ends and doesn't fill in the holes.

I agree with Caitie. But I mean if it gets any tighter it might spontaneously burst off.

Tara wasn't in the frame of mind to listen anyway at that point, and it probably wasn't the best time to bring it up.
I liked the show, but I'm always amazed at the apparent lack of care about others.A grenade goes of in the morgue, and there is not much reaction. No one ever ask how Ryan is if you think about it, no matter what happens to him. Some of Horatio's concern could have been shown for his son,and Ryan should have been thanked for his quick thinking. I'm glad that photographer is done with,he was way too smug.

ah my little darlings you all have me confused. i thought this epi was great. maybe because i don't remember a quarter of it. sooooo tired. i will watch it again on the computer tomorrow when i'm not so tired.. this bloody dog tore up a whole Orlando, Fla phone book. that was yesterday. today the brat had left tooth marks on my tv clicker. i guess i have to hide everything from him now. i thought he would be a good guy so i named him after ryan for his middle name as Charles the 2nd had already named him Diamond. so he is diamond ryan. the other pup that charles adopted at the same time is named neil so we have 2 pups neil diamond, named afer my favorite singer as chas refused to name them after CSIM characters. hehehe!!!! but he is beautiful. all grey and i finally got rid of the fleas. sigh!! what a mess. gotta go have a wonderful day. i hope to finally catch up on my sleep tonite as the trip to Miami to see the boys this week end was just too much. also no air conditioning yet miserible. so i take a cold shower before i go to bed or i can't sleep. loves y'all!!!!!!!! H rules jeanne

I really liked this episode too. -I don't blame Frank one bit for being PMS-y...he had been shot at...and I would have been a little ticked off too...granted, he shouldn't have went into there without back up. -I like Ryan better in tshirts and not the tight colored shirts with the ugly ties -Horatio finally seems to be getting back into character...now if he would just help process some evidence and get back in the lab and in that lab coat -nice little scene with Eric and Calleigh...not too overboard...just enough I agree with earthlady on the fact that Horatio should have been more concerned about his team and his son when the grenade went off in the morgue...I also would have thought that Eric and Calleigh would have been concerned as well. Overall, I liked it...not too much to complain about with this one.
