CBS execs have lost it. I still can't believe they cancelled it. I've got half a mind to fly to LA or wherever and give them a piece of my mind.

All the WAT fans should spam the CBS inboxs with demands to bring back WAT. Hopefully NBC can pick up WAT too

Thanks, guys, it helps to have moral support in my time of tribulation. cc, you said you hope NBC picks up WAT too -- have they picked up some other show that CBS threw in the trash?

Oohhhhh not that I know of. I just meant NBC should pick up WAT to keep the fans happy while they're duking it out with CBS. Although, I'd lmao if NBC did pick it up, got higher ratings than CBS because of it, and WAT wound up running as long, maybe even longer, than ER did.

NBC probably would get higher ratings with it than CBS did, because they'd promote it instead of pointedly ignoring it (running back-to-back promos for NCIS and Mentalist and then for Flashpoint or the Unit, nothing for the third show in their lineup that night) and not move it to a different day/time every season. There was one season where CBS kept shifting it around to a different day every week - and it still got good ratings! With a little promotion, it could probably get back into the top 20, which is where it reliably lived before CBS started trying to kill it. You've actually raised my hopes -- maybe the reason CBS didn't give WAT a big sendoff is because they know it's going to continue elsewhere. And the big personal story arcs had partial closure, but could certainly have Further Developments -- Jack and Sam had a mutual and amicable breakup, she's going to hook up with her baby daddy (the actor who plays him is her real life husband) and Jack is going to focus on his relationship with his daughter Hannah; Elena and Danny got married; Martin is still recovering from his ill-advised fling with a witness who turned out to be a perp and is showing signs of acting very Jack-ish, careerwise, so it would be interesting to watch Jack find out what it's like to supervise himself, so to speak. The only character who hasn't had a story arc for ages is Viv, and maybe NBC writers would be better at developing her character. Lord knows they'd be hard put to do worse. Jack and Viv had a wonderful scene at the end of the episode where they joked about their relationship and walked away from the camera -- an obvious homage to the last scene in Casablanca, where Humphrey Bogart and Claude Rains have "the start of a beautiful friendship." Maybe....

Hopefully... I think theres still a lot of potential in the show. Especially with new writers... I wonder if anyone is considering picking it up though.. if not I'm gonna bombard Fox and NBC with emails... they seem like the two most likely networks to pick it up.

You know, I'd if NBC picked up WAT, and aired it on Thursdays in the same timeslot as CSI:. Now next comment could have the vegas fans throwing *insert object here* at me , but if the above scenario happened, I'd give my rating to NBC just for the way CBS tried to get rid of WAT. Wasn't right justice served to the cast and crew, and payback's always a b***h. I'm curious as to how many people would do the same thing I would do

Well, I'd watch WAT, but that's because I'm an avid Jack fan. And I'd tape CSI:LV if I could. It would be a symbolic gesture to ditch CBS, unless you're one of the Nielsen families; the ratings are based on what they watch, and they're picked to be a Representative Sample for the rest of us.

NBC'd never run it against CSI. That time slot's gonna be a warzone in the fall. Fringe, CSI + Grey's Anatomy all running at the same time in one night. It shall be nuts. I wonder whose gonna come out on top ratings wise though...
