While I will not take my frustration out on the new CSI, I must ask....why the hell didn't they just keep Angell and make her a series regular instead of going out for a new person?

I've wondered the same thing Dawn. What was the point of killing Angell and then bringing on a new CSI? I would've preferred to see Angell become a series regular. *eye roll*

Well Angell was supposedly killed off because of budget cuts and I've heard that a main character is going to be killed off in the season premiere so they could be replacing Angell and the killed off character with the new CSI. It doesn't make much sense but if it's all true I'm assuming it's going to help them stay in budget or something.

I mean like I said when no one knew if it was going to be Angell or Lindsay when the rumours first came out about someone dying, it's just such a CSI thing to do! Danny and Lindsay get married, have a baby, then what? They're happy? Ha! Something bad is bound to happen. I hope they're not just hiring a new CSI to replace Angell's spot on the show.

And it can work if Adri is right and killing Angell off had something to do with budget cuts. If they kill off two main characters and only hire another one they have cut back a bit. Although then I don't understand why they don't just kill one character (Angell) and not replace her?

Or maybe it actually had nothing to do with budget cuts and the actress who plays Angell didn't want to do it anymore (can't always assume it's the writer's fault) or the writer's of NY figured they needed something exciting to happen that didn't involve Danny and Lindsay (if you'd call that exciting). So now they need a replacement. :/

Well from the badgets cuts stand point, if you kill of a recurring then a regular you can hire another regular and it still would be cheaper.

Maybe the actress who plays Angell didn't want to be part of the show anymore... Thank God! And maybe whoever is kicking the bucket in the season premiere is done with the show to.

Anna just doesn't have the time to be a regular cast so she's deciding to become a recurring character making room for another regular.

Well I think it might be cheaper to hire a new regular than to keep an old regular or even an old reccuring because they will have gotten pay raises but a newbie wouldn't get paid as much as someone who had been there awhile. Also I heard the actress that plays Angell was offered a better gig on Two and a Half Men and she was also supposed to be in a CW pilot but as far as I know that pilot wasn't picked up.

I read somewhere... can't remember where, but there's been a lot of rumors that Adam will be the one to get killed off The guy who plays him wants to try something outside of CSI
