Traffic report on the local news reported a Turtle On The Road about half an hour ago and advised drivers to avoid a specific block on that road. They just reported that the Turtle has made it to the other side and the road is now clear. Apparently the Turtle made it across under its own steam, no one interfered with nature by picking it up and carrying it. Film at 11?

Wow, that's pretty normal here. Definitely wouldn't be on the news. Actually just last week there was a huge snapping turtle on one of the roads we were going down, so my dad stopped and chased him back into the ditch... not that anyone wouldn't be able to see something that huge, or risk running it over (it'd probably damage the car) but still. There's also a lot of small turtles that cross the road, and people run over them on purpose. Never look at a dead turtle... it's worse than seeing a dead squirrel any day. But something that my mom saw online from someone in Ontario was kinda weird. There was a peacock wandering the streets, apparently. My only guess is it escaped from a zoo.
