Red John's Footsteps (Mentalist May 19 2009)

I had to make this thread because I'm still watching but I had to make notes before I forgot everything. (Not in order to begin with though.) The episode is so good so far.

- The beginning was awesome. The face in the sky. Dun dun dun!

- I freaking love Cho. XD "You have a wife?" "No." "I have a niece..." Then Rigsby later on with the 'phone number'. xD

- Patrick scares me when he gets all threatening over Red John. I wonder if they're going to find him in this episode or if it's going to continue into next season.

- Oh ma God, the face on the wall in the blind woman's house! Freaky!

- "If he does anything wrong, if he jay-walks, shoot him!" I really like Lisbon. xD

- Patrick you bad boy, don't talk that cop into going with you!

- OH MY GOOOD LOOK WHAT CHO AND RIGSBY FOUND OUT. Oh noo Patrick!

- Oh crappers Patrick! Oh crap! You need to get a permit to carry a gun!

- I KNEW Lisbon was gonna come in at the right time! Just like when this happened before...

- OH MY GOD! Noooooo Red John IS there and he's going to get away! ... He got away.

- Patrick makes me sad. He's only slightly disappointed that Red John got away...

- Oh whoa. Patrick just totally shot that guy. And saved Lisbon's and Mya's lives... and looks really unsure about killing people now.

Well I have to say I liked this season finale more than every other season finale I've watched so far. Better than Miami, NY, and NCIS (but NCIS was definitely second best). Can't wait for next season.

P.S. My brother is so annoying. The whole episode he was going on and on. He kept asking "Is she his family? Where's his family?" my mom told him they were dead and gone, and he said "... his cousin isn't." Oh lordy.

I thought it was a great finale, too. Interesting to see Jane's nutso streak -- not the happy goofy one, the determined-to-kill-Red-John-no-matter-what-it-costs one -- because he usually hides it so well. And although he threatened to kill Lisbon if she stopped him from getting revenge, he violated his own principles and shot the guy to save her.

The funny little bits between characters were good too, as usual -- this show is really good at those. Loved the "niece" gag!

I think The Mentalist should get it's own section thing-y now that it's no longer a Newcomber/Wannabe. Or get added to another section at least.

Hmm, Mentalist has had quite a few threads and posts. I'll start a thread in Fred so everyone can chime in on this, just to be fair.
