The guy who runs SETI (the Search For Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence) is worried about what impression aliens are going to get from our TV programs (which is all they'll know about us, unless they actually drop by) -- in particular, the crime shows. After all, if you assume that TV is an accurate description of normal life on this planet, people are getting offed at a pretty alarming rate.  And one guy suggested that we'd better get ready for a sudden invasion of aliens in search of Sham-Wows -- no matter how technologically advanced they are, it's unlikely they've got those. So, which show do you think is #1 in the Space Alien Nielsens? Do you think aliens will understand the concept of fiction?  |

Aliens, if they did see us on TV, would probably think every human on Earth is an idiot. People are getting offed at a pretty alarming rate in the real world too. So if TV was the only thing aliens saw of us, I don't think it'd be too much of an exageration.
And man they shouldn't come here for ShamWows. We have some, they don't work that great. xD

Yeah ShamWows aren't too amazing but I bet they'll come here for Snuggies. Cuz they might have like teleporters and crap but I don't think they woulda thought to invent a blanket with sleeves.

Or the Clapper. Although if they have tentacles, it might not be too useful to them. Unless the tentacles have suckers and they can put two suckers together to make a popping noise?

I think they could like slap their tentacles together so it would make a smacking noise that would work. Or maybe they have some sort of weird Clapper thing for tentacle-d aliens.

Psh, aliens don't have tentacles. Really, luf, you know better than that.  Just because the space aliens  you've met don't have tentacles doesn't mean none of them do.  |
