So, this is a pretty huge thing right now. xD How many of you are watching some of the Olympics this year? I'm actually so into it. I'm loving it, and I'm not into sports or anything at all (never been into the Olympics in previous years either). Canada so far has 5 medals. (2 Gold, 2 Silver and 1 Bronze.) I went out and bought Olympic stuff today too (a Canada shirt and two keychains of the mascots. xD) Post your countries medals and talk about the sports they're competing in. I don't want this thread to turn into a huge competitive debate or anything though, so play nice.

I've had it on while working at home in the evenings, and wow -- Canada's done a great job, IMO! For starters, this is the best looking Olympics I remember seeing. Is there an Honorary Gold Medal for graphic design? China went for Big Flashy Extravaganza, Canada seems to have gone for elegance and beauty -- I love the logos everywhere. I like men's figure skating best, and I'm looking forward to watching the Men's Finals (I recorded it). Perked up my attention when the reporters kept talking about some guy named Johhny Weird -- sounds right down my alley. Extremely fit gentlemen in extremely tight costumes, twisting and turning at all angles, and you get to watch each one for minutes instead of mere seconds -- *ahem* It's the fine technical points of all those axels and things that I really appreciate, of course. That's why I watch so intently. That's what it is. Really. I enjoyed the snowboarding, too -- watching them give each other fistbumps afterwards, and I could swear one of them actually said "Dude!" Shawn whatsisname can't be a real person, someone must have created The Ultimate Snowboarder in some cloning lab. This is Not A Complaint.... And Canada's been winning Gold Medals! That just seems Right to me, partly because Canada has so much snow they should be really, really good at this stuff, and partly because they're throwing the party.
