Prime Time Crime Fan Fiction Forum Guidelines.
I know you're probably thinking 'Rules?! Why do we need rules?' Basically I just want to make sure everyone is happy here and the best way to do that is to ensure everyone who arrives knows the etiquette. It's no big deal and they're easy to follow guidelines to hanging here.

EVERYONE is allowed to post fan fictions.
Firstly choose the correct category, that will really help the people who are looking for fiction about specific shows.
If it's a category which contains more than one show your work needs to be titled correctly. I know this may be a drag, but you'll get more readers. For example: A CSI:Miami fic needs to be in the 'CSI' section, and your title should read 'Yellow Fever-CSIM' That way you shouldn't get any people who want CSI, or CSI:NY fics clicking on yours and getting all grrr cos it's not what they want. Crossovers between shows within a category can stay there, but crossovers between shows, such as CSI/WAT need to go in the 'Crossovers' sub forum and be titled accordingly. If there isn't enough space in the title area, it is fine to place it at the top of the first chapter.
Also I know there are fic categories that some people would rather not read. So at the beginning of each fiction, not chapter, could authors please write a short summary explaining a little of the content. This will warn people off certain pairings they don't like and from slash fiction, which is allowed as long as it is within the board's PG-13 rating. It should also warn if there is any prolonged violence/sexual crimes involved. Please also place warnings if lyrics/poems are used that you do not own the rights to, and if any main character death is involved.
This board is made according to 'Proboards' terms and conditions. This includes the fact that content must be no higher rated than PG-13. So therefore it is unacceptable to go above this rating. I understand that it is the nature of some of these shows to be a little gory. Also that some people like to write romantic stories. That's fine, just keep it within the boundaries. Any violations may be removed, or edited. You may not be given the option to do this yourself.
As a courtesy to others it is requested that there are only two active stories per author, and that each story only gets updated once in any 24 hour period. This may sound odd to some people, but you will not believe the trouble that happens when one author swamps a board.
If you read a story it's nice to leave a comment. Constructive criticism is obviously allowed, but flaming and downright abuse is prohibited and warnings will be issued and the posts removed. If you feel someone has unfairly commented or you feel there are any issues with a story that you have read and you do not wish to confront someone yourself feel free to private message me and I'll work towards dealing with any issue. Whether that be explaining to you why it is acceptable, or explaining to them why it's not, and then taking any appropriate action. You may also go above me and private message the admin if you feel your issue is not addressed properly.
