Questions, requests, suggestions.... I can't promise to do everything requested, but this board is intended to be for the members, not my personal ego trip. And I'll try to explain my reasons if there ever are decisions other than "yes."

Or you can send me a Private Message if you're really shy. Send the PM to "admin." I'll probably post the gist of PMs here so the idea can be discussed, without identifying who sent them to me. But why not post them here and get credit for your thoughts?

Of course you can! I would have brought it over myself, if you hadn't volunteered! ;D

General policy on "can I start a thread about.....?" -- the answer is "Yes, please do!" The only exceptions I can think of right now are if a thread would violate Proboards' TOS, or if it was intended to provoke a fight. And "intended to provoke a fight" means just that -- it does NOT include threads where there's going to be spirited disagreement (such as "Who's the Hottest?"). It does include threads such as "This character sucks!"

(Intends to post frequently on that thread about both Stetler and H -- I can multitask!)

I have a vague impression that, if I create extra "skins" (color schemes for the board), each of you guys can choose the one you want to show up on your computer. I could be wrong about this, so don't get your hopes too high until we test it. But if I'm right, that means we won't have to reach a compromise about the board colors -- time permitting, I'll be able to give each of you the colors you want.

Since you were the first to ask, jaglady, you get to be the Tester of this theory. I'll let you know as soon as your skin is ready. (That sounds weird, especially if taken out of context....) And directions on how to make it show up for you, of course.

Edit: okay, I made a skin called "jaglady" with turquoise backgrounds. You can make it show up on your computer by going to your own profile and modifying it -- there's an option about a page down where you choose the skin you want. Jaglady, I'm sure this isn't exactly what you had in mind ;D so let me know how to change it -- darker? lighter? different color than blue? Change other parts, besides the bits I did change?

(Anyone can use the "jaglady" skin by choosing it in their profile, it's just named in her honor because she requested it and it will be tailored to her preferences.)

Thanks, Mirium. I'm truly flattered. I guess I'm getting sensitive to bright colors, but that's nobody's problem but mine.
Here's a thought, only if you want. How about sort of a darker dusty rose skin named DLS? The closest I can compare it to is the rose color in Microsoft Office, if that gives you a good reference point.
I've slipped into my new skin ;D, but it doesn't allow me to exhalt or smite. Not that I really do that very often.
Just for that, I've asked DLS to give you the first Christmas kiss of the day. Just save some for me! (Stands by with arms folded)

Sorry that this color is still in the "Blindingly Bright" category -- the options on Proboards' palette all seem to be either extremely vivid or extremely dark. I'll go look elsewhere for codes that might match your description. Soon. Very, very soon. If for no other reason than that I've got mine set to this skin, and it's making me blink. But if you'll work with me, we'll get it just the way you want it, and there will be others who like it and want to use it too.

I'll give DLS a quick smooch under the Xmas tree and then send him your way -- I don't want my Horatio clone to get too jealous. ;D

I hate to sound like I'm complaining, but yes, if you could soften the color just a little bit. And hey, this is a process. I appreciate all you're doing.
Tell ya what. I'll let you have Rickypoo for Christmas, and if you could please hand him back to me for New Year's. Tell him if he comes back to me, I'll let him eat the cherry straight out of my pina colada this year.

Whew! This is closer to what I was aiming for. Hope it was more what you had in mind, too.

You should definitely tell me if the color isn't what you want; I won't take offense. Especially since I'm red/orange colorblind. (I can see red and orange, and tell the difference between Fire Engine and Tropicana. But I can't see subtle differences at all. I've been told repeatedly that copper, rust and terra cotta are three different colors, but I'll just have to take their word on that -- they all look the same to me. )

Oh, and I appreciate your generous offer, but actually my Horatio clone and I have *ahem* plans -- so one fast smooch and maybe a quick cuddle is all I'll have time for, then I'll send the Stet Man on his way to you. He should be there in time for dinner...
