Oh Great High Muckety-Muck... What are the chances of pinning the Sister Boards thread in the Comfy Chairs and Cybercookies forum? I come here on my lunch hour, and I find myself using those links, since I can't always remember the addresses.

By "pinning" do you mean making it a sticky thread, so it's always near the top of Comfy Chairs & Cybercookies? I'm happy to tweak the board to make it more convenient, even if it only matters to one member; just want to be careful that a requested tweak doesn't inconvenience others. One more sticky thread probably won't get in anyone's way, but stickies tend to accumulate and we don't want to end up with a dozen of them a few years from now. (I worry about these things, that's why they pay me the big bucks. :smiley-think005: ) Here are some possibilities: Make the Sister Sites thread a sticky in Comfy Chairs, as requested. Move the Sister Sites thread to the Read Me forum; it would be #3 of 3 there, easy to locate on the list. (It sort of fits there, thematically.) If your workplace allows it, you could add the Sister Sites thread to your favorites list. I'm open to other suggestions. Yo, everyone! Comments? (You didn't really think you'd get a simple Yes or No, did you? )

Of course not! We all know how complicated life can be as we get old, right? ;D :smiley-think005:
I suppose I can go ahead and bookmark it, then. Heck, I bookmarked this site and play with it at lunchtime, so that just might be the best way to go if you're watching out for clutter.
Thanks, Mirium.

It wouldn't bother me one bit...either way is fine with me.

Thanks, suzmicsoc and jaglady -- since jaglady has chosen Option 3 (bookmark the thread) and that seems to take care of it, we'll leave things as they are. Posting "I don't care" is helpful, by the way -- I don't have to wonder as much if there are members who would have strong opinions but just haven't read the thread.

Hey M....I got a question, but it's on how to do something on my board. Hope that's ok....How did you get the chat room sign that says *X users in the chat room* to show up? Did you embed the code? If you did, how & where? XOXOXO Kat

I got code from the Proboards Support Board: support.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=support&thread=295964&page=1You can get your chat ID# (green in the code on the thread) by going to Admin area/Live Chat/Live Chat Settings -- it gives your account number, SC plus six digits. The six digits go where the green is. I wrote down my server # when I made the chatroom (I'm an info packrat ;D); not sure where you'd find that if you didn't make a note of it at the time. I vaguely remember that there were extra letters or numbers in what AddonChat told me my server is, they don't call it exactly "client#" -- just figure out what the number is and leave the rest (client#addonchat) the same, just change the #. Let me know if you want help figuring out your server number, I'm sure we can think of something. ;D I left the rest of the code unchanged. Our chatroom here hasn't exactly been a whirlwind of activity, so I confess that I don't know for sure if it works; I think I tested it, but it's been a while since I put it up. Oh, and I inserted the code in my Main Header, not Global Header -- didn't think people would want to see it while they were reading threads. Hope this does it for you!

We're all in this together, CarusoLover! Now that I've thought about it a bit more, this bit of code went pretty smoothly once I figured out the server number bit; and when I installed it here, I remember being delighted at seeing names in the box as folks tried out their new toy. Enjoy!

Some of the smilies in the "Add Smilies" box look like the link is broken, but if you click on them, it should show up in the actual post. I'll take another crack at fixing the glitch when I've had a little sleep. ;D Oh, as long as I was messing around, I rearranged the order a bit; we'll still have room to add more if you've got some you'd like included!
