So Laurence Fisburne's first eppy aired almost two weeks ago. What did people think of it? And his character?

I think he'll be excellent. I hope people will accept that he's not Grissom. There was only one. In a way it's too bad Greggo "grew up" (read: no longer dancing around with a showgirl headdress or putting rubber gloves on his head anymore). In a way, I'd love to see how Dr. Langston reacted to that. To me those were some of the funniest moments in the CSIV. But hey, as they say in the military, we adjust fire from there. Not sure why all the reruns this year, but that's just the way it is.

I was thinking the same thing about the reruns JL...hope they're not trying and get out of giving us full seasons of all three CSI's

I agree about Greg...It would have been soooo funny to see how Fishburns character would have reacted to him... ;D

hi kiddos i adored greggo in the old days he is much too serious now. i haven't been able to see the new guy you are talking about. the last 2 or 3 weeks we had nothing but reruns. heck greggo acts older than me and we all know that's not possible. i'll be 64 years young in january. oh well we can't all be young and beautiful..sigh.....H rules jeanne

Maybe they're trying to give us a quick retrospective, or there might be events in the episodes they're repeating that will have a bearing on Grissom's departure. I've noticed that when one of the CSI franchises puts on a repeat at an odd time, something often happens in the next new episode that was foreshadowed in the repeat.
*optimistically hopes they're not just killing time before Grissom's Big Moment*

I thought they were doing that only with Miami because they were finally getting a clue and going back to rewrite S7, but I digress. Sorry, but I say let the poor guy go already. We know it's coming. Don't drag it out.

They are doing it with all of the shows...not just the CSI's. Bones, House, and several others are in re-runs...What gives?

I had a personal theory about CSI Miami. With everybody screaming about the show losing its character, I figured CBS went back and rewrote and reshot some scenes in an effort to save their keesters. But since you say other shows have been on rerun, I wonder whether sponsors have been pulling their ads. Not sure how the economy is playing into this. But if a show is tanking, sponsors are not going to pour millions into air time that they think nobody's watching. Least of all now. I can't think of any other reason.
