Well, we had a good hard rain yesterday, which turned to snow, and then the temperature dropped down to 17F. Which meant the roads turned into sheets of ice. Needless to say, I waited until 10 a.m. to go to work. I probably could have negotiated the steep hill on my street. My concern is the idiots who come flying over the hill and around the curve. It was still pretty treacherous at 10 a.m., but I made did just fine. Some idjit in a Mustang insisted on passing me on that icy hill. And gee, he spun out and hit the curb. I just smiled and kept on going to work.

Yesterday we had temps near 70 and lows in the lower 50's so what does the neighborhood kids do... we sleep outside XD. Yesterday I was able to wear t-shirt and capris and not get cold! and today I think the temps are gonna be in the upper 60's, but it still is better than anything below freezing!

We were in the 60s all last week. Today we're in the 30s and the wind is blowing so hard, the dirt from outside actually started coming in through the air vents in the car- with the air filter on too!!!! Also one mile visibilty on the road too! But it figures, it never fails. It gets like this everytime from now to May

The wind is blowing here today pretty hard. Right now we're under a tornado watch.

That "inch or two" of snow turned out to be more like "six or seven", but it was fluffy and light. Took 2 minutes to shovel the walk, 5 minutes to shovel the pile that the snowplow had deposited at the end of the walk -- and 15 minutes to shovel the uberpile that the snowplow had lovingly deposited in front of the mailbox. I didn't want to count on the mail carrier having 4-foot-long arms or being willing to wade hip deep, despite the Post Office Motto. On the bright side, it was in front of the mailbox, not on top of it.
